I've got a suggestion (for Firefox developers) for enabling the quick and easy saving, organizing, and restoring of tabs.

I've usually got maybe 200 or 300 tabs open --- all the time. And I always have Firefox restore them when I reboot. But they're very disorganized. Here's a suggestion for enabling the organizing of them more easily and quickly, using several features already available in Firefox.

1) use ctrl-shift-d to create a set of bookmarks with all of the tabs 2) export this set of bookmarks as HTML to a file 3) use your favorite text or HTML editor to organize the tabs 4) import this organized file into Bookmarks (with the same or a different name) 5) allow Firefox to open this new bookmark file as a new set of tabs (possibly replacing some tabs currently in use)

This seems to me a very logical, and not too difficult to implement, method of organizing a set of disorganized tabs, using a lot of Firefox infrastructure already in place. It would be a big help to me, and I suspect many others as well.

Firefox, as of less than an hour ago, is no longer saving tabs on close. This was also proceeded (After the first instance of this happening) by Firefox enabling the "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" setting (Privacy & Security -> Cookies and Site Data) all on its own (Also did this on my laptop a day or 2 ago). I have since uninstalled & reinstalled it almost 5x. Doesn't matter what settings I change. Doesn't matter if I'm logged in or not. It will not save them. Ever.

I have history set to not delete anything. I have the most obvious setting enabled (Startup -> Open previous windows and tabs). It still doesn't save them. Even after the reinstalls.

I have not changed my settings in over a month. The only difference between months ago, and now, is browser updates, and an extension I installed but didn't even have Enabled.

Including the issue with the browser not defaulting to the last folder that was downloaded into with the "Ask where to download" setting enabled. But that's an inconvenience. It's not making the browser virtually unusable like not having my tabs saved.

Hello, would like tabs titles to be styled like in attachment (screen is from Simple Tab Groups addon). Especially would like to decrease (vertical) gaps between titles. Is it possible by editing userChrome.css or something like this?

I recently made an update and now got Firefox 136.

Now I´ve got the problem, that tabs where some sound is playing are getting resized.

There is no option for disable this and I haven´t found the specfic path for the about:config.

Any help would be welcome

I cannot consistently show an image preview when I hover over a tab, even though I have that function box checked in my general/settings page.

I have several windows that won't open upon starting Firefox. I had 7 windows with multiple tabs open when last closed. They usually all open again (per my settings) when I open, but this time only 2 opened. I ultimately moved all tabs to new windows, but one window that has only one tab with "OneTab" (from the OneTab extension) in it won't open. And I can't move that tab anywhere. That "Onetab" has multiple important tab. Any idea for solutions?

Due mostly to upgrades in the app software, it's necessary to restart Firefox on occasion. Also, it's necessary due to OS upgrades. While the Restore Previous Session is a wonderful feature, it arbitrarily (and properly, by default) forgets all of the Private Tabs. But, there are times when I'd like to save some or all of the Private Tabs I've got open. A 'settable' feature to 'Remember Private Tabs during Restart' would be a tremendous asset at times.

I LOVE the Rename Tab feature in Firefox. But it doesn't appear to be accessible/work in Private Windows. Frankly, there are more Private Window tabs that I'd like to rename than regular window tabs. Help, please.

Up until recently (maybe a few months ago), clicking on a tel: link in Firefox opened my preferred soft phone immediately.

Recently, clicking on a tel: link opens a new tab in Firefox in addition to opening in my soft phone. How can I prevent the new tab from opening for tel links?

Firefox Version 135.0.1 Simple Tab Groups Multi-Account Containers

In the Firefox View tab, we can search for Open Tabs. I am wondering how I can make a strict search for a particular pattern. For example, let's say I have hundreds of tab open for youtube like below:

how can I ONLY search for open tabs that is the youtube front page (i.e to not match anything after the ".com"). If I just search for "youtube.com", it will match all of them, but I only want the front page.

I have many more tabs open in the background then I actually have. I am not good at this but I can give what I know I am experiencing. 1st photo has16 tabs open in pc's task manager 2nd photo shows that I only had 2 tabs open in Firefox browser 3rd picture show 19 in task manager. I expanded in task manager the Firefox app and right clicked to end task to remove what might be ghosts tabs running in task manager. ----That did not work There are currently 6 of them that has the efficiency mode on the 19 tabs.

Firefox is getting complicating for my abilities but I appreciate using Firefox for all the flexibility. I usually ask a friend to set me up or help but he is unavailable and this seems to be above his head to. Crossing my fingers for a easy solution. Thank you, Happycamper
