I have a question. I have different address books for different groups. I have Friends, Members and Executive Committee. I have some members that need to be in both. I know I can just add them in each address book but I do have other address books and this is just a example. Is there anything in the Config Editor to add each person to different address books in the users profile? Thank you very much for your help.

I am hoping someone can kindly guide me about search bar settings. Right now, I have it set up so only google and duckduckgo are available and show up as options in the firefox search bar.

However, when I am on a youtube page, suddenly the search bar has a little green plus circle on the magnifying glass in the search bar, and then offers to "add search engine youtube" to my search engines.

How can I stop this from happening? It only seems to happen when I am on the youtube page, and I have adjusted settings multiple times but it continues to appear.

Recently, Firefox immediately scrolls to bottom of a newly opened webpage. Very frustrating as must scroll manually back up to top of page to begin reading. Thank you for any assistance.

I have two shops on Etsy. From what I understand, I cannot access them both from the same browser, so I have Google Chrome for one and Firefox for the other. However, I have had a lot of trouble printing invoices and shipping labels from Etsy. When I hit print in Etsy, the invoices and labels are sent to Word and then there is some corruption. Yesterday, the shipping label was too small and the top portion was filled with Chinese language and not English. The rest of the label was in English. Is there a reason why the forms will not print directly from Etsy in Firebox? Transferring the files to Word (this is done by Firefox) makes a process that should be quick and easy a pain in the neck. Can this be resolved or I am going to need to use another browser. Thanks. Using Thunderbird 128.5.0esr (64-bit) on 128.5.0esr (64-bit). In calendar view, I see all my appointments with the background colour of the calendar they are in (see attached). In my inbox view, I have the Events tab open at the right. All day events have the background colour of the appropriate calendar, but ones with timings have a dot. (see attached). How do I make ALL calendar events have the background colour of the associated calendar in the mail events tab??

Hi Win10 PC fully up to date. Changed my printer from a Xerox to an HP laser. In the control panel, set the HP as the default printer. MS Office prints on the HP without prompting. Firefox (134.0.2) always defaults to the Xerox. The HP is available in the drop down box. Restarting the PC or reloading Firefox makes no difference, Firefox always defaults to the (non existent) Xerox. MS Edge defaults to the HP. Any ideas? Regards - Andrew

A folder on the bookmarks menu that stroes individual bookmarks, fills half the screen of a standard 1080p screen with totally empty white space.

The padding in between each and every single bookmark, in any place that can store bookmarks, will be filled by at least 3 or 4 mm of empty white space. Between every single bookmark.

This is a huge amount of completely pointless scrolling.

Has there been a fix for this cos the chrome folder .css "fix" is not working for me.

If i cant solve this i am going to change browsers. I dont care. I love Firefox and used it since the netscape days in the 90's, but am not going in for another surgery since you people insist of giving people more RSI's.

I used troubleshooting mode and now my fonts and columns settings are gone. I had replaced Recipients column with From and Recipient in all my mail folders (I have lots). And everything looks different now. Different fonts and smaller text size everywhere.

How do I get my previous settings back?

BTW, the Troubleshooting Mode dialog is confusing. It didn't seem to do any thing until I checked a check box which followed the blurb about making the changes permanent. So I may have accidentally asked it to make them permanent. Not sure because the UI was unclear what it was asking me to do. Why are there 2 separate dialogs popping up? Do I have to tick something to make it enter TbS mode? Not clear. (I am technical but not about the internals of TB.)

I do have backups of my TB folder but I would need direction as to what files I would need to restore.

I've recently returned to Thunderbird and it's good to be back!

I often have to look in the spam folder, usually when I do I make the entire folder as read, that way the next time I go back I don't have to keep scrolling down forever.

Unfortunately is seems as though when you do this in Thunderbird it triggers off any pixel trackers etc, the result is a sea of spam coming in.

Is there a way to mark an email as read without triggering any trackers?

Any help much appreciated.

So, I got the "Restart to keep using Firefox message" while working to make sure that certain HIPPA protected data. I cannot close out of the browser because I am in an incognito window.

Is there a way to pause the message or can I only prevent it by disabling automatic updates?

P.S. So I work in the very sensitive part of Data Engineering e911 that deals with medical patient reports that given ONLY to the doctor at the hospital when the fire department drops you off at a Hospital. Because of extremely sensitive nature some of the specific report fields, I am not longer legally allowed (by HIPPA as old as the law is) to use browsers like chrome. So, I have to use browser like Firefox that are still in compliance. I want Firefox to update, but I want to choose when it updates (on the first weekend when there is a national fire or storm disaster happening... which technically will be this first Saturday since the update on the 15th).

I am asking a question in regards to the greyed bar at the top of the screen where it shows what email you have opened. The annoying thing is that every email I opened gets put on that bar and it really gets cluttered. I do not know how to correct the setting so that bar only shows the email I have opened for the present time and then disappears off the bar after I open a different email.

Typing about:config in the address bar does not bring up a list of configuration files. All it does is produce a google search list of YouTube and Mozilla help sites. How can I access Firefox configuration files so I can stop websites from refreshing?
