Hi, my Thunderbird has brought down 279 emails from Gmail. I opened Gmail and found the emails properly in the Trash folder. So it appears that Thunderbird is bringing down all folders??? I've been a user for years and never notice downloads from spam or trash before. New change to Tbird? Is there some way to exclude spam and trash folders from download? My version is 115.11.1 (64-bit) TYIA Richard

I'm trying to change my signature on an account I've had for sometime. It lets me make the changes I want and when I try sending a message it works fine. However when I close Thunderbird down and re open it, the signature has reverted to the previous version. I can't see any option to save the changes to the account settings so they'll still be there next time.

I've tried it 2 ways - firstly editing the HTML signature text, and secondly attaching instead a signature file. In both cases it works fine until I close and re-open.

I can't open Firefox browser. I get an error message, "Error: Platform version '127.0.1 is not compatible with minVersion > = 127.0 maxVersion < = 127.0"

I can only get Google Chrome.

We don't know our password. We are not receiving emails. We have searched our password and it has confirmed it as the same we have written down. However, this does not work. Where do we go from here?

Thunderbird is blocking some outgoing mail. If I start with a file, right click, send to mail recipient; the message is blocked as spam with this diagnostic: Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Spam detected by content scanner. Message rejected (ID 6661B68A00783926). Please check the message and try again.

But, if I start with Thunderbird Write and attach the same file, there are no problems and the message is sent.

Hi This morning when I tried to send an email I got a message there was no disk space & so couldn't save copy to sent (I have 848 GB free on HD)

I tried to copy some old sent emails to a folder I've used in the past (old sent) & TB crashed. When I restarted it, many of my subfolders were missing. They are all still showing in Local folders in profile. I deleted all msf files & restarted TB. Nothing.

How can I restore these folders? Hopefully that's possible! Thanks

Hi: I recently set up a new computer. I copied over all the important files I could find before a full hard-drive erase of my old computer. I reloaded Mozilla Thunderbird linked to my Earthlink account. However, upon opening Thunderbird, I discovered that my address book and all saved emails in Thunderbird were lost, and I didn't save them in the Earthlink account itself other than the address book. I do daily backups with Carbonite. Is there a file or files I can look for in my Carbonite backup files that would contain the saved emails? If so, what are their names?

As a longtime user of Firefox, I had a nice setup where after the start page, clicking on the Firefox icon would take me to a page headed "Firefox" in large letters. On that page I had placed the icons for my frequently used programs. Each of the small "icon boxes" had menus that would allow entering a URL so that when clicked, the desired app would open. I was exploring MS Bing, mostly because I like the pictures they put up each day. It looks as though a "new Improved" version of Bing brings along the new MS AI component. Together they seem to have removed my Firefox setup or hidden it where I can't retrieve it. By using Firefox settings, I was able to remove the Bing URL. Good riddance!, but can I retrieve my page of links to most-used programs? I don't know where to look for that. If I have to reconstruct it, how is that done. Or how can I start a replacement. Just got home from vacation and it looks like I left my computer running for a week. Looking for an email and noticed that many, many emails from my saved subfolders are missing. Does Thunderbird automatically archive or something? I have never archived purposely. I need to know whether to use my backup program to try to retrieve these missing emails or to get them from my profile. Instructions in very easy explanation, please. I've tried to search this on the internet, etc. and I'm just lost and panicking. How can I tell if they were archived or not? I've found my "profile" but I can't tell what, if anything, to do from here.

Hi, I am thinking about buying a new phone and wanted to know if i get a new phone and download firefox/mozilla and sign in with my id and pw will all the collections that i currently have in firefox at this time going to be a available to me on the new phone after downloading the current version of firefox? When trying to access certain sites, I receive a message that " Access is denied. You do not have permission to access this website." I was trying to place an online order at Subway.

Besides this, I have six pop accounts in the one Thunderbird program on my computer and have never had anything in "local folders;" I also haven't set it up for anything as I have no idea what it would be used for. Thank you in advance.

Setting Up Thunderbird for AT&T Email I've used Thunderbird as my email client for years; however, about a month ago it stopped working and now I receive the following message, "Sending of password for user [email scrubbed] did not succeed. Mail server inbound.att.net responded: [SYS/TEMP] Server error - Please try again later". What do I need to do to get things working again in Thunderbird?

After the last FF update, I can only connect to FF ... no other website! I did a system restore to an earlier date which seemed to make it worse. Absolutely zero content appears on any website I choose to go to. The tab shows the name of the website, however it doesn't "connect."

Please help me rectify this challenge. Thank you.

Back in 2015 someone asked about the fact that emails are not marked "as read" once opened but I don't think the answer was ever fully given. They were told: "This option has always been available and I use it. via Menu Bar Tools > Options > Advanced > Reading & Display or via menu icon menu icon > Options > Options > Advanced > Reading & Display select: 'automatically mark messages as read' Select: 'Immediately on display' click on OK When you select/left click an email in the list, it will auto open and display in the Message Pane below the list. If you use double click, it will auto open in a new tab or window depending upon what you selected. In bth instances the message will be immediately marked as read." Here's my problem with that .... I don't use the "Message Pane", I don't like it. I have my incoming messages set at "table view" and they are all just listed down the page by date. I don't want to see what's in the email until I actually open it....but, once I open it and read it when I close out of it the email still stays BOLD in the list....this didn't used to happen, once I read the email the BOLD went away. When I use the "automatically mark message as read immediately on display" then new emails are not in BOLD so I can't tell if they've been read or not. Bottom line, is there a way to have messages marked "read" AFTER they are opened WITHOUT using the message pane??
