Sounds that you are deleting history.

Check that you do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the history.
If you use cleanup software like CCleaner then check the settings for the Firefox application.

Cor-el, Yes, I checked some maintenance program I use: Advanced System Care Pro 4.0. It has an automatic privacy sweep function contained in the program w/ several options. I deselected wiping 'history' from Firefox upon sweeps. Hopefully that will solve the issue. We'll see..............
