What is the 140? You mean ~ Firefox 140, released on June 24, 2025, I am on the 150.## now

You can copy your profile to any new install etc. and point the [profiles.ini] to the old profile that has what you want

Firefox 140.10.2esr was released on May 7, 2026 at same time as Fx 150.0.2 and Fx 115.35.2esr were.

Ubuntu Resolute Raccoon only seems to support 140-esr for a non snap version I dunno if the OP is referring to this or not. It has been and continues to be a real pain point on my end. Firefox sync proved to be the easiest way to recover everything for myself but that requires having turned it on prior to wiping out your old install. (And all the old tabs opened in a single window) Alternatively there should be a way to move files under linux from a backup but I gave up after a few failed attempts. David was this your question?
