YTS not working properly on Firefox but works fine on Chrome (video/player issue?)

I’ve been noticing an issue with YTS-type sites on Firefox. The site either loads partially, the player doesn’t start, or it keeps buffering without playing anything.

What’s strange is that the exact same site works perfectly fine on Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers. Videos load instantly there, but on Firefox it either breaks or takes forever.

Things I’ve already tried: – Cleared cache and cookies – Disabled all extensions – Tried in private window – Checked network (no issues)

It feels like something related to Firefox compatibility with the video player or scripts used on these sites.

I also tested another version here which seems to work better on Firefox:

ytsmx https://ytsmx.stream/

Not sure what’s different (maybe a different player or encoding), but it loads without issues for me.

Has anyone else faced this or knows what might be causing it?

Yeah, the “Watch Now” button is not working. Maybe your Firefox extension is causing this issue—try disabling the extensions one by one. It seems like an extension-related problem.

I think it might be because some versions are optimized for Chromium browsers, while others use a more compatible HTML5 player that works better on Firefox.

I finally figured out what was causing the issue. It turned out to be a browser extension.

One of the extensions I had installed (most likely an ad blocker or privacy-related extension) was interfering with the video player/scripts, which is why the site wasn’t loading properly on Firefox.

I disabled all extensions and then re-enabled them one by one, and that’s how I found the culprit. After turning it off, everything started working normally again — no buffering or broken player.

What’s interesting is that the same extension didn’t cause issues on Chrome, so it seems like a Firefox-specific compatibility problem.

If anyone else is facing this, try: – Disabling all extensions – Testing in a private window – Re-enabling extensions one by one

That should help you identify the issue.
