I'm using a Windows 11 laptop with a 14" laptop with a 1920 x 1200 resolution. I'm using Thunderbird to access 5 email accounts, calendars and cardBook. I'm looking for suggestions and tips about the best layout to maximise the display of my email information with the minimum of scrolling.

Thank you.

I suggest the vertical layout, AND add the addon 'folder pane toggler', as that lets you hide or show the left side folder pane as needed. That, alone, frees up lots of screenspace.

david, thanks for your suggestions - it certainly improves using Thunderbird on this laptop screen.

Yes, I just discovered that addon recently and it removes lots of clutter when not needed :)

FWIW there is a meta bug about small screens. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=533875

We should probably gather ideas somewhere for currently available methods, maybe in a KB article?

Nice idea, Wayne. I'll collect some ideas and share. Not sure how to create an article, but I will gladly submit ideas. Thanks. :)
