Can recent Firefox update cause "Windows Explorer has stopped" fault?
OS = Windows 7 Pro. Web-browser = Firefox. Both worked very well for many years on desktop PC and laptop. Recently desktop PC repeatedly reported "Windows Explorer has stopped" whenever Firefox was started. Today I updated Firefox on my laptop after several weeks of non-use. "Windows Explorer has stopped" appeared immediately Firefox started - error never seen before on the laptop. Could the most recent update to Firefox be the cause of this fault?

If this happen at same sites, then try others, @ jgilmour1. Also restart the laptop. Update if possible. Use Private mode for Firefox to visit this site. Close many and not needed programs running in backgrond with Taskmanager. Try to use Safe mode for Firefox Make a new profile for Firefox. Backup your Firefox and perform a fresh install. Last version: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ Use Safe Boot for Windows. Make a new local Windows user account and try again.
Have laptop and PC different hardware?
