Noticed yesterday but not as prominent, firefox suddenly steals all window focus, trying to do anything in any other window is pushed into firefox no matter if it is minimised or in another workspace. I have tested this in a clean install along with a clean profile. Bitwarden and other windows seem to act weird when they are interacted with.

This all works well and good on b8 and stable. I am using wayland (Ubuntu 22.* default), but xwayland is available.

Firefox 109.0 is currently in RC (Release Candidate) build 2 state and will become released Tuesday next week. You can possibly give the 109 Beta version a try (109.0 RC2) or the current Nightly as it is possible that this has been fixed already.

Otherwise you can consider to file a bug report if this still happens with a new clean profile.

I don't use Linux or Beta version of Firefox but unless your testing for bugs or software Addon or other incompatibilities one should use the release for everyday usage only. One shouldn't in whatever O/S environment unless your testing for issue or problem is advised to use the release that way if there are issue it can be bugzilla reported to Firefox/Mozilla to find a fix for it.

Dropa, I mentioned I use the developer edition, which in turn being on the aurora channel gets some beta updates. I do not pick and cannot pick if I use a beta release in the developer edition or not. Every day use does not matter if I cannot use this version of firefox at all with any other application.

I cannot find the release candidate in any channel. I am currently using beta b8 just fine. Nightly is 110 and the current developer release is still b9.

Just an update, using my laptop right now on b9, and I cannot seem to reproduce. Same Ubuntu version, arch, DM, WM, synced settings but works just fine?
