add-ons I didn't add and cannot remove
Hello - there are add-ons for Amazon, Google, Facebook, EBay and Twitter - none of which I added - showing up on the Firefox browser as running during browser start. I can see them when I use CC Cleaner. They are browser plugins set to run upon start up. I can disable them but need to do it every time, as there is no way to delete them that I can see. I would like to find out why these plugins are there and how I can delete them.

Hi Jim, CCleaner shows the built-in search engine extensions in the same list as the add-on extensions. The built-in ones are not removable because they are part of a program file.
If you do not want some these sites showing up as search options, you can remove them from the list on the Settings page, Search panel. However, if you remove all of them, they usually get restored during the next update, so I suggest at least keeping one of them (you can "uncheck" it rather than removing it).
In case you are concerned about what the extensions do: they simply define URLs used when you select them to search with. As an example, here's Bing:

Now, Facebook is NOT one of the built-in search extensions, and I actually can't think of a reason for that to be showing up. If you go to the Troubleshooting Information page, could you select/copy the "ID" for that extension and paste it into a reply here for further investigation. Amazon, Google, and EBay are built-in search engines and can't be removed or disabled. You can hide (disable) them as search engines via "Settings -> Search".
Facebook and Twitter aren't search engines, but could be present as default tiles on the Firefox Home page and as a suggestion in the location bar drop-down list.
Thank you, Jscher2000, this answers my question. The Facebook add on, I see now, is called "Facebook Pixel Hunt". Since it also has a default Firefox path, that's also part of the program?
