Tab crashes whenever I attempt to log into eBay
Every time I try to log into my eBay account, I get the following message, "Gah. Your tab just crashed." This has been happening on the last several versions of Firefox, going back at least six months. I have no problem logging in when using Chrome or Safari, but overall I don't like either of those browsers nearly as much as Firefox. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me figure out why this is happening and let me know how it can be fixed!

We have recently seen multiple reports that Bitdefender is causing issues with tab crashes in Firefox 73.
It looks that Bitdefender has pushed an update to address this issue 21 Feb 2020
I don't have Bitdefender installed on my Mac, so it must be something else causing this.

I started up in "Safe Mode" and the problem persists. PLEASE tell Mozilla to fix this! I don't want to try 80 different other possible solutions when I can just use Chrome or Safari to log into eBay. It is inexcusable for an important site like eBay not to work on Firefox.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.
The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.
Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 Submitted crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.
Please, Do not post a screenshot ! !

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
I started in Safe Mode and that did not fix the problem. The eBay tab still crashes whenever I try to log in. What can be done about this short of me using a different browser when I want to use eBay?
Remove History For One Site {web link}
Open the History Manager <Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> H. In the search bar, enter the name of the site. Right-click on one of the listings and select Forget About This Site. This should remove all information, including any site settings
I'm afraid that didn't work either. The tab still crashes whenever I try to sign in.
Is there any info in the Browser Console about these crashes ?

I couldn't figure out how to open the Browser Console.
I can't be the only person experiencing this issue with eBay on Firefox. I'm currently using the very latest version of Firefox for the Mac (81.0.2). I also deleted all my cookies to see if that would help. It didn't. PLEASE try to fix this problem, Mozilla. I don't like having to switch to Safari every time I need to check my eBay account.
