Firefox 71.0 64-bit has started having problems with random websites (whitepages.com is one) that think I am a bot.
Multiple websites think my Firefox is a bot. This is a typical response. When I encounter this, trying to verify using CAPTCHA does not work so I have to use Chrome for those websites. There are at least 4 or 5

That is one of those sites that makes you realize there is too much information about you on the web. But I digress.
This could be a case of "incomplete" content blocking. Some scripts are loading that expect other scripts to be working and they aren't, so the site gets suspicious. Problem is, it's difficult to tell how all these multiple ad and tracking scripts work together so it's difficult to point to one specific adjustment you could make to your settings or add-ons.
What if you disable all content blocking extensions other than AdBlock Plus? Do the sites work any better?
Note: You can view, disable, and often remove unwanted or unknown extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
- type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return
In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions.
Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right side. Any extensions Firefox installs for built-in features are hidden from this page, so everything listed here is your choice (and your responsibility) to manage. Anything that might block content in sites that you could disable for testing? The ••• menu button provides access to Enable/Disable.
