Why is thunderbird constantly coming up with an authentification failure while trying to connect to outlook.office365.com every time i try to access my hotmail emails? this is becoming painful last week zero access to hotmail then worked for a few days now nothing again.

Hello.I just want to let you know,that somehow the client what i uzsdeing is forget to make undread massages to read when i takea look at them.When i double clivck on them they open a diffferent page and then they get read status.What could cause this?

It does appear to have created all 3621 emails. > I tried to Drag & Drop it into the Local Folders stack, but received an error message that a folder of that name already exists there, even though it does not appear in the list of folders. > I tried repairing folders, compressing folders and was not able to move it or even create a new one of that name and copy the contents. > I would like advice on how to proceed to complete moving/copying the Unsent Messages folder to its proper location in the Local Folders stack. For about a week now I have been unable to send emails. Receiving them is fine. 1 had just said yes to the latest update. When I try to send I get this message - Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Service unavailable; Client host [125.214.85.178] blocked using b.barracudacentral.org; http://www.barracudanetworks.com/reputation/?pr=1&ip=125.214.85.178. Please check the message recipient "reply-fe9515767360017975-18_HTML-75443594-7238404-12125@emails.avg.com" and try again.

I am 71, not technologically minded but am rather frustrated by this.

Everything working just fine last night. Wake up and Thunderbird will not retrieve emails.

Remembered this old message I got so I went through and deleted my second email address, didn't help.

Checked all settings compared to Yahoo, still won't download messages. I can even send a message with my current settings no problem, and it does login, just won't retrieve emails. Gives me a connection timeout.

Anyone have any ideas?

I cant receive emails only send them. I receive an error message when starting Thunderbird "the current operation on inbox <my email address> did not succeed"

Note: I could not find the suggested specifications as indicated in the error message!

I did not change anything, the sending error occurred suddenly , all my settings IMAP Mail Server Port 993 SSL/TLS OAuth2 and SMTP Port 465 are still set to default. I changed also the SMTP to an new shown default 587 but non of this settings resolved the problem

Trying to send e-mails and get the following message:-

Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The server responded: <X@totalise.co.uk>recipiant rejected - relay denied. Please check the message recipient"rod.coleman@totalise.co.uk" and try again.

This happens with all e-mails.

Hi David This is the last attempt I did but it failed. Enclosed is the screen shot you have asked for. Keep in mind my WIN 10 has 64 Bit but the last update from Thunderbird was 32 Bit

Thunderbird shows email messages from the wrong account. The messages show properly in Yahoo website and on other computers using Thunderbird. Concurrent with this new issue, I now get message: Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: "Request failed: Mailbox unavailable. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again."

I have verified the settings. Searching for help with Thunderbird, I see references to index files getting corrupt. However, I struggle with the correction procedures. When I right click on the bolded email address, "Properties" is not an option on the drop down menu. I cannot find a "Fix folders" button.

BTW, I did contribute December 17, 2025, it seems like a pretty good way to say "thank you!" Jim

"connection to server pop.mail.yahoo.com timed out" I have been getting this message in the activity manager for about a week now. When I click get messages, it says down loading message 1 of 1, but nothing happens.

Due to disk space constraints, I wanted to download only the message headers, not the content. I configured the account, disabled synchronization, and Thunderbird downloaded all the messages with the content. What did I do wrong? The account was configured via IMAP.

I have a desktop that is windows 10. I use Mozilla for four email accounts, 3 of my accounts work fine. My problem is with TWC. Emails sent/forward and cant save drafts often fail. When I sign into spectrum webmail, my Mozilla TWC account works again for a while. This started about 2 weeks ago. I'm using version firefox version 151.0.2. I've eliminated Spectrum as being the issue and all my settings are correct. Thoughts?

for some reason emails move from inbox to trash by themselves. I have posted this before and did not get any help to fix this. Has anyone else had this problem. I am not very computer savvy so please if you can explain in plain language. Very frustrating. Thanks ahead of time

I had difficulty getting my thunderbird email to open. Then, when it did open, it uploaded all emails in duplicate. I now have a very full inbox in both my accounts. How can I get thunderbird to remove the duplicates? It would take forever to do this manually.

Full errror: Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox.

Operating system Windows 10. I have Thunderbird installed on three computers. Two on Windows 10 and one on Windows 11. I have two accounts Helen and Kevin. I have no problems with my Kevin account on the there computers. The error only occures with my Helen account and only on the Windows 10 computers. Not the Windows 11 computer. Can you fix this?
