本件はIMAPでMicrosoft365アカウントをサインインしようとしたときに発生している事象です。 最初のユーザー追加画面で氏名とメールアドレスを入力します。 その後、メールアカウントの種類を選択する画面でIMAPを選択して「続ける」をクリックしても「設定を検証できませんでした。ユーザー名とパスワードが正しい場合は、サーバー管理者があなたの選択した設定を無効化している可能性があります。別のプロトコルを選択してみてください。」と表示され追加ができません。 上記メールアカウント選択画面で「設定を編集」をクリックしても結果は同様ですが、「詳細設定」→「テスト」をクリックすると、「次のアカウント設定が、指定されたサーバーを調べることにより見つかりました: 」と表示はされます。 しかし、続けようとすると「受信サーバーの設定がすでに存在しています。」と表示されてしまいます。 なお、Exchangeを選択した場合は追加できます。 Microsoft365アカウントについてはIMAPを有効化していますのでアクセスがブロックされているわけではないと考えています。 解決策を教えてください。

pop3 leaving emails on server still even though this option is 'unchecked' ?

i have pop3 account and unchecked leave on server - but greyed and checked out is a 'leave for a maximum' which i have as 1 day, there doesnt seem to be an option to unch… (Máis información)

i have pop3 account and unchecked leave on server - but greyed and checked out is a 'leave for a maximum' which i have as 1 day, there doesnt seem to be an option to uncheck this? I dont want them on the server which is why i chose pop account. yet when i open web account, the emails already downloaded using the pop account are still there even thoug they were downloaded days ago. Why is this and how do stop this? is there a 'leave copy on server' box to uncheck that I am missing? i want to use pop to remove from server and just use locally but its not doing what i thought it would, which is remove from setver. Also it keeps repeating downloading from years ago so I was hoping that when the server synced it would stop downloading the ones it has already (mulitple times) I made an imap account to try to sort emails that way but it also shows old emails still on server. Should i delet this imap account as I already have a pop account running? Very confused. Help figuring out what to do appreciated.

I recently upgraded my older PC from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Thunderbird worked fine for a few days following the upgrade, but when I went into it today, all the local folders were gone. 4GB worth of e-mails. Good thing I backed up four days ago, so I haven't lost much.

I have searched through the help given earlier for a similar problem, but can't seem to still get Thunderbird to work properly. Furthermore, Thunderbird won't import the backed-up data. I also can't get the menu bar to show along the top. What all am I doing wrong?

Just installed Thunderbird on a new laptop running Windows 11. Accounts are set up and I can see all the emails in my inbox. They are in the Table View. My problem is that I can not view the contents of the email. I used to be able to click/highlight a message and its contents would be displayed below the list of emails. I am unable get this view. However with a new account and signature, the similar code refuses to show the graphic, which is clearly uploaded to the correct folder. I even try different folders and the graphic never shows up. I so not see anything wrong with this code - do you?

Recently moved to Linux Mint with Thunderbird 140.5. It's a new experience. Thunderbird has downloaded all my emails and folders from my Outlook.com account. Can send, receive, edit emails no problems and all is visible from Outlook client on other machines. Thunderbird does not show my calendar entries or contacts. I do not wish to import from Outlook as I would like to access my Outlook.com from several locations. Been through online Help articles. Nothing seems to work. Have installed TbSync and Lightning Calendar Tabs add-ons with default settings. I have tried suggestions provided in this Mozilla Support. Other forum suggestions don't seem to relate to the version I have.

I'm sure it is something simple as everything else I have done with my new environment is working wonderfully. Thanks in advance.

I'm dealing with a properly updated 'bird: 140.5.0 (32-bit) running on an equally updated Windows 10 desktop. First thing this morning, out of nowhere, I started getting an "unable to write the email to the mailbox..." message when sending, thus I could send but not save. And then I realized I wasn't receiving either, on all three accounts in my Thunderbird. I stopped everything and focused on trying to fix this. It's been an all-day, losing effort. So far.

I tried the various quick checks and fixes recommended here and there: I'm running the program as an administrator. I restarted the program. I rebooted the computer. I think I have enough disk space, but to be sure I deleted some bloat from possibly overly large files. I compacted, even though the program is configured to do that regularly. I temporarily disabled my antivirus program. I went into my webmail and deleted all messages that have arrived since my Thunderbird stopped receiving, in case one of them was corrupted. And probably some other attempts as well. Nothing has helped.

And now a second, even worse issue has fallen from the sky. Thunderbird opens. The folder list is where it always has been. The number of unopened messages in each folder is there in boldface, as always, but...the folders are all blank and I get the dreaded popup: "unable to open the summary file...." Have I lost my years' worth of carefully curated emails?

I've tried folder repair. I've deleted parent.lock. Etc. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing.

I will be super-grateful for any wisdom sent my way.

  1. Add recipient email address to view. This could be added next to the sender email address, separated by something like a pipe character "|" and identified by "From: ", "F: ", "Sender: ", or "S: " in front of the sender address and "To: ", "T: ", "Recipient: ", or "R: " in front of the recipient address
  2. Add search filter terms to search capability. Some example filter terms would be 1) "mailed-to:" or "recipient" to search for emails sent to a specific email address or domain (using wildcard), 2) "mailed-from" or "sender" to search for emails sent from a specific email address or domain (using wildcard).

I have been having using Thunderbird as my email package for over 10 years and lately have been having issues. I was looking to cleanup the install (version 140.5 esr) and noticed an older version of the app still exist on the computer (version 68.4). will deleting this version have any implications. This computer was originally Windows 10 but has been upgraded to Windows 11 when the problems seemed to start appearing.

Sharing email account

My wife and I have separate emails and we also share an email account. My laptopn has Thunderbird profile set up to receive from both and data is held on our local NAS Wifes Laptop does the same and her data is on her folder on local NAS. For the shared email, we can each access and it creates a local copy on BOTH of our respective folders on the NAS. Whilst this works, i cant help wondering if we're setting up a sync loop. THe shared email isnt used much, but is there a way that we can share the exact same files /data for the shared email on the local NAS. ie. Still have one view in Thunderbird client but have the shared email data be on a common shared folder. Still keeping our separate profiles. This worked for Outlook pst files. But New Outlook is a disaster hence moving to THunderbird. . This seems to be a simple scenario. 3 email accounts 1 shared. 3 local data sets. One shared. 2 separate laptopns and THunderbird installations. One common local NAS. ANyone have any guidance for best practice ? THanks

I really don't know where to go, but I hope you can help. I do realize that when two products are involved it is 'THE OTHER GUY causing my problem. I've encountered it in the past. I use Mailwasher Pro to preview my incoming mail. It marks some important mails as Comcast/junk. I delete the real junk and leave those on the list of mails I want to download, and decide whether those are worth keeping (many are) after fully reading them. Thunderbird bypasses these on my incoming mail list. It seems to me that if there is mail to download, Thunderbird should do exactly that. How can I manage this, please?

When I click on an email, instead of just showing the email, it sets up a Reply screen showing From me and To Me. At the bottom there is an alert: "A unique identity matching the From address was not found. The message will be sent using the current From field and settings from identity......" (lists my email user name and address). Im not clicking Reply, I'm just double clicking the message to Read it.

Running Sequoia 15.7.2 on MacBook Air. It just started today. I have turned it off and on, no change.

I have had an online newspaper subscription for quite awhile and suddenly the paper stopped coming, soon after I had paid for another year. I emailed the company and they said to "check my spam folder" but I want all spam to come to my inbox so I can see if it is really spam. I also got emails from a scrapbook company I buy from frequently and those emails have stopped coming also. I am wondering why those emails are no longer coming through, and if there are other emails that also are no longer arriving that should be coming to me. And how to get them to come again?
