Firefox has a partnership with Google right ?

I know Firefox is all about privacy , but Google does not exactly have the same standards.

That is known , they do not care about your privacy.

And Google is the standard search engine in Firefox , so my question is , what information does Firefox share with Google , and if so , how do you ENSURE that Google does not use it for marketing and advertisements etc etc.

They are known to track you in any way possible so , thats why my concerns.

And 1 more thing , i did remove the Google search engine and replaced it with Bing , but when i type in the bar where u type your adresses , normally it automaticly searches in Google , without having to go to the website , but i removed Google engine , and replaced it with Bing , and when i type things in the typ bar , Google still appears , how ?

Google is not my standard search engine anymore , but Bing is , i removed Google from the search engine list , and still it is present in some way , if i do it in Opera , Google DOES get removed , and REALLY replaces it with Bing , why Firefox not ?

Is Firefox maybe not so privacy friendly as they appear to be or ?

Can you please explain , because i love Firefox and im a long time user of it.

Oh i forgot , i also use Adblockplus , and with the Easylist filter , but the filters are listen on Code.google.com , how ?

Why does Google has something to do with Adblockplus ?

Hi, Firefox do not have any such partnership with Google. Your information is 100% secure. No worries about our privacy here.

For your second Question, try doing this

Step 1

Type about:config into the Firefox address bar. This will take you to the config warning page that says “This might void your warranty.” Take this warning label with a grain of salt, since Firefox doesn’t have a warranty. However, this is the advanced system settings area of Firefox, so don’t go messing around with stuff unless you’re a groovy expert.

Step 2

In the Filter box, Type in keyword.URL Under Preference Name, keyworld.URL should pop up. Right-Click it and Select Modify.

Step 3

The default URL is likely Google, just erase it. Now all you need to do is Paste in the following URL that matches the search engine you would like the bar to use.

1. Google Search: http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&q=

2. Bing Search: http://www.bing.com/results.aspx?q=

3. Yahoo! Search: http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=

You can also use a custom search engine of your choice, you’ll just need to get the correct URL code for it.

Once entered, Click the OK button.

And you are done.

Thanks ,

And is my information also not shared if i use Adblockplus ?

Because some of the filters in it , come from code.google.com

And i also see when i typed about:config , that the phishing protection is from Google , right ?

Google does get all the websites i visit right , because they need to see if the websites are safe or not , can i remove that too or is that not smart ?

And why i cant just type in www.bing.com

Why all those other things in front of it ? this , /results.aspx?q=

And , why does it have to take that much effort to remove the Google search engine ?

In Opera it is much easier , does Firefox not want you to remove Google or something ?
