I have Mac and I'm in the USA but keep getting a yellow bar with the words, "This website appears to be blocked from your country"

I've gotten the yellow bar on USA sites but I think my country is somehow showing as the UK on firefox because sometimes when I've gone to websites like pogo or Amazon it's defaulted to the UK version. How do I set my country or get rid of this problem on Mac?
