Some bookmarks are disappearing from my unsorted list; including the most recent few. Ver 3.6.13

I've noticed over the last couple of days some of my bookmarks are missing from my unsorted list. Some are ones I've had for a long time. Others are recent. As a test I re-bookmarked a site last night and checked to see it was saved. However, today it was gone. I looked in all the other folders and recent history - gone. I tried deleting some old ones to make room in case there is a limit - but that didn't help.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
