Bookmark favicons consistently disappearing
Basically title.
Every time I close the browser and re-open it, the favicons disappear. I use the favicons to navigate to websites on my bookmark toolbar, but they're missing from my regular bookmarks, too.
I found an old thread that appeared similar, and the solution was to take a working copy of the favicons.db file and re-import it if it breaks (while the browser application is closed). However, this did not work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No reply yet. Still experiencing the issue.
Still have the issue.
S, you could try testing the integrity of the databases to see if there are any errors.
To try this go to the Firefox help menu, select "More Troubleshooting Information", scroll down to "Places Database" then press the "Verify Integrity" button.
Then when it has finished, see if any of the lines in the report start with a "-" or contain the word "error".
If any errors are reported, try restarting Firefox and re-running the integrity check to see if Firefox was able to fix them. You may want to try this process again if errors are still found after the restart.

Thank you for the help.
Unfortunately, testing the integrity of the database revealed no errors. The favicons only persisted as long as I was logged in. As soon as I rebooted, it removed them all. I even tried copying a working copy of the favicons.sqlite database to an external directory, and copied it back when when I experienced the issue, but it did not change anything and the favicons remained missing.
Thankfully, the issue resolved itself as of today with a beta update 138.0b9 (64-bit).
Well, that was short lived.
The issue is back. I use favicons in the toolbar to quickly navigate to my favorite sites with a single click. This bug is a huge decrease in productivity for me. It's so frustrating!!!
Unless someone can give me some more ideas, I'm going to submit a bug report. I will likely be forced to switch to a different browser entirely, likely one of the firefox clones.
