Please explain how this came about - if TB is 'busy' it may be launching but that does not mean that your emails have gone.
A few more details as to how this came about are needed.
Is this an IMAP or POP account? Are you running Thunderbird on a computer, Mobile, Tablet or something else (please specify)? Which version of Thunderbird are you using? Which Operating System are you using?
