stop animated gifs on browser. Animated gifs are unprofessional and distract those with ADD issues and are problematic to many with visual disabilities.

Please stop creating animated gifs on mozilla firefox browser. They might be cute and fun but they are totally unprofessional and distracting even to those users who are not challenged with many different types of disabilities such as Attention Deficit Disorders (ADD) and/or visual issues. This is very annoying. There doesn't seem to be anyway to turn these gifs off.

Are you meaning the Foxyeah promotion going on in the about:home page? If those are distracting you, you can either change the home page, or just wait a day or two for them to go away.

Also, please update to firefox 38.0.5, the version you are running is insecure and unsupported. Update Firefox to the latest release

You can set the image.animation_mode pref on the about:config page to none or once to disable the animation.
