Mozilla & Thunderbird have disappeared after Both Windows Startup and MSOffice had to be reinstalled on my computer. Can I retrieve them including our saved emails & folders?

Normally your Firefox and Thunderbird data are stored in your

C:\Users\username

folder. Did that survive whatever procedures you followed? In some cases, users have ended up with a folder named

C:\Windows.old\Users\username

By the way, you probably will need to turn off the hiding of hidden files and folders to investigate fully. Microsoft's support article for Windows 7 might apply to Windows 8: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files
