Flame SAR
Hi, I'm interested in Firefox OS Flame device. Can you tell me how much is the SAR value?
Thank you
Chosen solution
well according to the flames "getting started" manual the sar values are:
- head sar: umts 2100 + bt +wifi: 0,253 w/kg
- body-worn-sar: umts 2100 + bt + wifi 0,322 w/kg
and then there is this sentence: "the highest sar value for this model mobile phone when tested is 0,39 w/kg for use at the ear and 0,77 w/kg for use close up to the body.

Firefox OS Devices
I'm talking about the SAR https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Specific_absorption_rate of the new Firefox OS device called Flame https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox_OS/Developer_phone_guide/Flame.
I don't think that there is this kind of specific information available... but maybe the manufacturer may know?
For instance this website reports the SAR values for ZTE Open and ZTE Open C http://www.phonearena.com/phones/compare/ZTE-Open,ZTE-Open-C/phones/7744,8463?ft=2. Where can I look for manufacturer information?
Hi erotvlas,
The manufacturer for the Flame reference device is T2Mobile. You may be able to find their contact information on their website:
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks!!

Check this for Flame Device
Hi,
are there any news about Flame device?
Thank
Hi erotavlas,
I don't believe that Mozilla has access to this information about this specific device.
Were you able to contact T2Mobile directly through the link I provided earlier?
- Ralph
Hi Ralph,
yes I tried to connect to T2mobile by sending two emails, but I did not received any answer.
Hi,
is it truth that Flame device does not support 3G+ (HSDPA) data connections but only GSM+UMTS connections? If yes it will be a fail...
Hi erotavlas,
I personally have seen the 'H' icon showing up on my Flame device, which would suggest that HSDPA is supported. However, not all the frequencies from my carrier (T-mobile) are supported, so data connection isn't always the best.
I contacted our TAMs (Technical Account Managers) who have a relationship with the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) so that they can confirm the SAR value and whether HSDPA is supported.
I will post back in this thread as soon as I hear of any news!
Thanks,
- Ralph
