I have this problem CONSTANTLY with 100.0. i keep 2 browsers open, (1 Email, 1 ebay) After 5-10 minutes, firefox "Loses" internet connection. and i have to clear the startup cache, to get back online, only for it to happen again... and again, and again, and again! Didnt have this issue with the previous update. PLEASE HELP! and please keep the answers simple, im not well versed in programming language

For some time now I have been having trouble with viewing you tube video's. At times the video freezes or just sort of locks up. But, I don't have the same problem with other browsers, Chrome, Brave. So, it just seems with Firefox this issue pertains. Can some one please help so I don't experience the Firefox you tube problems. Thank you.

Hello. Since a few years I was using 2 FF instances. Profile1 (default) triggered by "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" Profile2 triggered by "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox1.exe" -P Mike -no-remote -no-deelevate I could start profile 2, than profile 1 and corresponding icons on Windows 7 taskbar were lit.

Out of the blue today when I start profile2 shortcut icon from profile1 is lit and I can't start profile 1. When I start Profile1 I can run also Profile2 and corresponding icons on taskbar are lit.

There were no hardware nor software changes on that PC. How to get back possibility to run 2 instances of FF? Mike

Hi there , I am interested to know if Mozilla support group is aware of the problem Microsoft update KB4474419 causes? I am running widows 7 sp1. I installed the update as you mentioned in your Firefox 100 release notes. After reboot , I got a beep and a black screen - win 7 won't start. I had to find a way to delete the update so I could boot my system back. I asked few of my colleagues that use the same OS and they experienced the exact same problem. Surfing the web , makes it quite clear - this update is faulty and not compatible with win 7 as Microsoft claims. I would like to get a straight answer - can I update my FF99 to FF100 , without the notorious KB4474419 , or , as of FF100 , win7 sp1 is no longer applicable to Firefox ? Thanks. look4

For weeks I have been trying to find a solution to getting "Error 15" on certain websites when using Firefox. Opera and Edge have no problems with those sites, only Firefox has problems. I have tried every "fix" that I can find on the Mozilla site and none of them work. Is there anything else I should try before I abandon Firefox? Could it be that Firefox is now unreliable under Win7 Pro 64-bit? If so I will have to abandon it because this computer cannot run Win10 or later.

Hello. When I paste something inside firefox, then firefox suddenly shuts down and after that a window pops up, informing me that firefox has crashed and asking if I want to load the previous session... No changes have been made to my computer lately. Firefox has been updated to 113.0.1 but the problem has not been solved. Any suggestion?

Any word on floating videos ? Have been asking for several years. Any progress on that front yet ? They're making a comeback and are as annoying as ever. Have been through all Settings tweaks etc -- nothing has ever worked. One of the most annoying user problems in the world and almost nothing has been done that I can see. Others trying to Sucker me into Chrome or Edge, which they claim are perfect and totally privacy oriented.

I'm using Windows 7 and have been migrated to the esr updates for Firefox. I think this problem started cropping up just before going to the esr versions, but not sure. Firefox will a) randomly hang and do nothing for 5-10 minutes and then pick up fine b) tends to hang a lot when signing into websites like banks, etc, doing the same thing as (a). I've updated FF several times since then, but same problem. I did try to do 1 fix which suggested creating a new "places" database, but that did not solve the problem. Not sure where to go from here as nothing has changed on my computer since the problem started - no new software, etc.

Is it possible to make a link open a new tab with "Find in Page" automatically enabled so that people do not have to ctrl-F or click on "edit" to have the search open (as many people do not even know that option is there !!!) ?

All my search results now use google, thanks to the FORCED installation of the search engine google. Even after I have deleted it and deleted it and deleted it and deleted it and deleted it, ALL SEARCH RESULTS ARE NOW FROM GOOGLE, whether I like it or not. Mozilla has FORCED A COMPLETELY BROKEN SEARCH ENGINE ON MY PC(google), and now i can't rid of it, AND THEY ABSOLUTELY REFUSE TO HELP ANYONE.

I understand the necessity of some Extensions / add-ons to "Access your data for all websites" and therefore i agree to that for some of them. So here's the question: Is it possible for the data collected by that ADDON to be transmitted over the internet to either the ADDON maker or any other unknown recipient? Or is it that they indeed are collected but stored and processed locally on my computer and never transmitted elsewhere?

Dear Sir I went to an organization on 21/03/2022 for assistant on an issue, in processing the matter I need to open my yahoo mail box for the relate documents within my mail. A lady who assistant me use her lap top computer to open my mail box - I enter my pass word, then a window camp up to asked if I want to save my pass word (with dark color) or not,(with gray color) I was in a stage of rush I just click on right top Conner 'x' she took her computer to other room ( in where I can not see ) I was too naive and don't know if all of my mails had been read by them? - It is my privacy. When I got home I was worried and at next day I changed my yahoo mail pass word. As my pass words are saved within Firefox when I want to open a site it is auto fill the pass word. 1: Is my pass word will saved in that lady's computer? 2: Although I have changed my yahoo mail pass word is it safe? Can that lady able to get to Firefox to see my saved pass word and open my email box? - explore all my emails? Please help I am really worried. I look forward to hearing form you soon. Thank you. Firefox currently blocks port 10080 to protect against a presumed security threat. Linksys routers use port 10080 to allow users to log in to the guest network so Firefox has rendered Guest Network logins to be unaccessable forcing router owner to allow "guests" to log in to the the primary lan and potentially cause issues with the very network they are trying to protect from outside issues. Firefox needs to provide a way for guests to log into the guest network within their software... particularly in the ios and android versions of the Firefox apps. Please provide a reasonable workaround so that I don't put my network at risk by allowing guests to log in to my primary network.

I don't know if breakage is the correct topic. I keep Ring.com open to the dashboard in a pinned tab. A few days ago, I had viewed and cleared videos as usual and later returned to view new activity. The site requires logging in every 30 days and so seeing that I needed to do so was not a surprise. What was a surprise was that the login buttons were grayed out. I closed the tab, cleared the Ring cookies and cache and tried again. No luck. I wondered if there was some other setting that I didn't know about and decided to open a private window and try it there. To my surprise, it works. I'm stumped. I'll attach the raw data from the private window as a .txt file. Darn. I can only attach an image. Well, I have it available and can copy and paste it into a subsequent post if you think it would help

The "shield" icon for turning off tracking protection cannot be turned off completely. It seems you have to do this for every single website. This feature (curse) makes almost all websites non-functional. How do I turn this off completely? If I cannot eliminate this I will change to another browser.

FOLLOWUP: Success! It turned out to be an extension called "Enhancer for YouTube". I added that because my add-ons had been wiped out by the update yesterday and forgot that it was a new one I'd never tried before.

Does anyone on here understand this stupid video "follow us and block the page for stupid reasons" thing? How can software designers be so brain dead and out of touch with the rest of the planet? I do wonder sometimes.
