I have the updated version of Fire Fox. My tabs have been constantly crashing. Not sure what's causing that.

Hello, for my study I'm searching a lot of information on different websites for different school subjects and have currently accumulated over 1000 tabs open/active in my Firefox (web) on my laptop. I usually open websites and don't close them with the assumption and just to be on the safe side I might need them later. However, I would like to group/bundle these tabs into different categories according to the subjects I'm working to keep it manageable. Is this possible (preferably not by means of an add-on)?

I have tried every solution I can find to restore tab separators for 104.0.1—no luck at all. This includes modifying userChrome.css, which is enabled in about:config. I feel bad about having to bring this up, as it seems to have been well-discussed already. But I'm pretty much at wit's end. Maybe I missed something? Hoping to stick with FF, which I've been using for many years. The run-together tabs are a real tough one, though.

Firefox has a frustrating habit of closing windows and not restoring them properly. I had 2 windows with a multiple tabs open in each and Firefox will successfully reopen both windows until it doesn't. I tried all the methods with going into history or using the previous.json file in sessionrestore-backups but that file only had 1 window. Now I'm trying to use my browser history to see which websites I visited but all that shows up are the closed tabs - not the windows or the websites I was on before the tab was closed.
Where can I find full browsing information to restore my lost tabs? Alternatively I heard before Firefox updates it creates a snapshot of tabs/windows. How can I access this as a backup?
I dislike Chrome, but it honestly is much better at saving previous sessions.
Where is the Home Page Icon ??? ...After visiting a wrbsite I would like to go to the "Home Page" but there is no "Home Page Icon to click on, why???

It's so frustrating that the keyboard shortcut for closing tabs is right beside the one to quit Firefox. I've lost countless hours because of this, and it's so easy to accidentally do. Is there a way to keep this from happening? A simple "Are you sure" confirmation dialog would be great, or I really like the Chrome "hold command-Q" to exit feature. This seemingly simple function is proving extremely difficult to accomplish.
Yes, I'm aware of session restore, but (1) It does not preserve my window arrangement. I use multiple desktops for various tasks, and they each have related browser windows. (2) I need to see webpages exactly as they were when I opened them. Sessions expire, dynamic pages are refreshed, content is removed etc. That is all lost.
I do not want to disable session restore completely. It can still be useful. But, I do not want to trigger session restore automatically every time. Manual activation is ideal.
regarding: "browser.tabs.warnOnClose" I do not want a warning for closing multiple tabs. I often have many windows open and that warning gets annoying. It also doesn't prevent me from accidentally quitting when I only have one tab open.
I tried setting browser.warnOnQuit to true, but it's ignored.
I simply want a confirmation when I use the keyboard shortcut to QUIT. That's it. No side effects. Can Firefox do this?

I use Send Tab to Device all the time. To my phone, my tablet, my work & home laptops. Except recently, the tab I send won't show up on my phone. Notifications are enabled. I can send from my phone to my work laptop. I can send from my work to home laptop. But to the phone, it says sent, and nothing ever arrives. Everything is synced. What else can I do?

Hi. I would like to restore my previous session when I open Firefox (last version of the browser installed). The option is turned on, but nothing happens when I close the browser and I open it again. The support says I should see "Restore previous session" after "New Private Window", but this option is not there. In the history, the list of recently closed tabs is always empty, there are juste one or two links in the recently closed windows (it seems to be a random list). Can someone help me ? I don't understand why it doesn't work. Thank you :)

When i switch on my computer i have to make sure that i open Firefox and restore the previous session before i do anything else.
For example, if you click on a link in an email - and if Firefox is not open - then it will open Firefox and you have lost access to your previous session tabs.
Yesterday, when i switched on the computer Adobe wanted to remove a program - so i uninstalled the program and then it opened a page in Firefox so i lost 50 tabs. Sigh.
SUGGESTION As well as having the option to restore the previous session could we please have the option to restore the session before that? I think this will make a lot of people very happy.

Hey!
First time I get that, I usually lose my tabs due to my mistake but this morning after starting my PC all the tabs were gone with no option to restore or any error message. I backed up my previous session json and other files by hand but every time i copy it back into my profile folder and rename it sessionstore.jsonlz4 it just gets deleted after I open firefox and none of my old tabs get loaded. I scrounged the files before and saw that they contain my lost tabs, I just can't seem to restore them. I tried reinstalling firefox too but that didn't help.
Did the restore system change or is the backup corrupt ? Thanks!
Fred
how do I enable this - it's no longer available

Hey There!
I have set photos.google.com to automatically open in a tab container called "Google."
Now I would like remove this automatic function, as i might be opening that website in different container tab, since i have a mutipule google accounts spread across different google accounts.
Is there a way to remove or unlearn the "Always Open This Tab in a Container" for a specific domain?
As far as I can tell you can only change the container the automatically opens, but you can't just unlearn it.
Any suggestions?
Maybe add a unlearn option to the menu in the attached picture?

My firefox browser was running slow, kicked to firefox refresh and when it came back all my saved Onetab bookmarks were gone, including the ones I saved before doing the refresh. Tried integrating the "old firefox data" folder back into the browser info, which seemed to be the way to go based on previous forum answers. That said the fix is unclear and doesn't seem to be working based on previously listed answers. Also, I'm on a Mac (Big Sur 11.2 - just updated OS), the other answers were Windows.. Need some help here please, cause it's kinda insane to have saved all the tabs then firefox just deletes them! Thanks!
I set "Open new links in tabs instead of new windows" but it continues opening new windows.
Thanks in advance

When I'm working, I usually like to have two windows open using screen partitions. I frequently will drag a tab to another window or create a new window by dragging a tab to an empty space on my screen. Sometime in the last couple weeks, I noticed that this no longer works for me. I checked about:config in the address bar, and tab detach was still set to true. Does anyone know what might be going on and how I can fix this?

I'd been having issues with connectivity (local issues, wireless AP connection), and one day this week the browser had issues loading my saved tabs, I'm suspecting because of my poor connectivity, so I close the browser, disconnect from my AP, reconnect, fire up Firefox again (it tells me it's applying updates before it loads up), and a blank screen with my homepage loads up instead of my saved tabs and settings. I don't know what's caused that, but it's led to the issues I'm having now.
I laid out the page the way it was before I was having these connectivity issues, with 5 app tabs (Gmail, Youtube, Facebook, Instagram and one other) and a few normal tabs. I closed the browser, reopened, and now what it's doing is making the Facebook app tab and the Instagram app tab open up as normal tabs, unlike before when they stayed as app tabs. To be clear, if I rearrange these two to be app tabs and shut down the browser, then reopen it, the app tabs begin as normal when the browser opens, until they start loading up... THEN it changes ONLY THESE TWO app tabs back to normal tabs.
Nothing has changed in my settings; I don't clear browser history on exit, I have Restore Previous Session always ticked. I still can't tell what's causing this.

Hey guys, in my website history I found a link for a website that I didnt visit and also it happened while I was away. No one has access to my laptop.
Is it possible thats a mistake? Or that while my laptop was in sleep mode he somehow went there? But I didnt have internet connection then.
It was microsoft support website https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/examples-of-office-product-keys-7d48285b-20e8-4b9b-91ad-216e34163bad?wt.mc_id=enterpk2016&ui=en-us&rs=en-us&ad=us
Any ideas what it could have been?
