is there is a way to make the side bar movement smoother like when you use the vertical tabs the movement of its bar is smooth so is there is a way to do the same thing to the side bar also i think it will be better if the side bar was in the top of the site cuz most of the time you will not use it you are just gonna open it to access the history or the bookmarks and close it again so there is no need to mess the page layout to match the new window size every time i open it if i need to press or see something behind it i will just close it .

It is the 'Search Bar' function on your Browser! It's an absolute nuisance to use. When you begin typing a question into the search bar it immediately (as you all know) diverts to the Address bar in the Browser. Your eyes have to divert your focus and attention every single time you use the Search Bar making the process fatiguing, exacerbated by having to put up with the smaller font used in the address bar. Google, EDGE and Opera, Doesn't use this method only Firefox. It's a real pain and the is the sole reason I will never make 'Fox' my default Browser.

Support Firefox to be able to use different tab view modes on different windows! For example, two Firefox windows on different monitors, in my situation below:

- One on a 1920*1080 hori screen, with vertical tab sidebar disabled - One on a 1080*1920 vert screen, with vertical tab sidebar enabled for this window only in this case.

It brings much more convenience, at least for situations just like mine :)

I'd like to try enabling Tab Groups in Firefox 135.0 (64-bit). But I don't want to risk scrambling my gazillion or so tabs if Tab Groups is not stable.

I'd appreciate some feedback from Firefox users who have enabled Tab Groups.

I just added Search on Google Lens to my Firefox "Add-ons Extensions" because I need to identify a simple image, but I can't figure out how to make it work. I put my mouse pointer on te image and right click, but I do not get a context menu with a Google Lens choice. What do I need to do to make Google Lens work on my computer?

I FEEL LIKE A TOTAL IDIOT WHEN USING Firefox Browser. It is the only browser I use and I have been using Firefox for 10+ years. I've spent thousands of hours using it but due to my GREAT IGNORANCE of the best way to use and maximize my efficiency, my precious time is being wasted. I FEEL LOST MUCH OF THE TIME. IS IT POSSIBLE ORGANIZED MY USE OF FIREFOX IN A WAY THAT WILL MAKE IT A PLEASURE TO USE? For example my Windows fire Explorer if very organized and based on a logical system that I created. With Firefox I've created hundreds Bookmarks and I've started organized them but it doesn't automatically sort a folders or bookmarks when I put them in and that is a huge inconvenience because I sometimes forget to do that and then I can't find what I need.

I've built computers and installed hardware and complicated software; I've done a little bit of Excel programing as well. I am a well educated person with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, and I also have several post graduate certifications but I feel like Firefox is cumbersome to use. Now that "feeling" has to do with my ignorance most likely SO is there anyone out there who can point this frustrated researcher in the direction that will make me a virtuoso with Firefox? With all the very smart people who invented and maintain Firefox, someone must have created a Firefox course to turn a Firefox user who can get a hundred times more done in a fraction of the time it is currently taking me.

One of the reasons that I like Firefox is it's Privacy protection, but I'm confident that if I were more "edumacated" about the complex subject of privacy I would like "accessorize" my interaction with a world that has plenty of "bad actors out there". Consider this fact: I am a skilled surgeon whose quick hands and mind have been involved involved in multiple acute life threatening injuries. This means that I use a kind of magical thinking that I learned long ago, and that thinking is the difference between life and death for the man whose left renal artery was ruptured in a plane crash. He is losing blood internally and must be treated immediately, He will arrive at trauma center in 10-15 minutes vial helicopter. I am already scrubbed in and ready for his arrival as is my very experienced surgical assistant who has prepared all the surgical instruments organized in the sterile surgical room. For example I could in my Bookmarks create project related folders with the specific tabs I would like to have open, the question would be is there a way I can open 5-10 links in a folder, with a minimal of clicking? I'm sure there are other smarter ways to work but I don't know Firefox well enough to know how to shape it around my specialty needs. I stick with Firefox because it is apparently one of the safest browsers. I have installed a few Add-ons and Themes, like "Tree Style Tab" and "Go To Playing Tab" both of which I like. I'm still trying to figure out how to have Google Lens work on my Firefox. I read all the instructions but nothing seems to work. Is it me or is it a problem with Firefox browser, or what?

How do I get rid of the requirement of having ctrl or alt in extension shortcuts? Also overriding firefox shortcuts would be nice.

I've been using my binds/shortcuts in chrome for years and I'm not adding multiple keys to all of them. I really want to use firefox as my only browser but can't because of these stupid restrictions.

When using the PiP feature is there a way to switch whether it pauses the video when closing the PiP player?

Often if i want the audio to continue but dont want the popout player there and if I press the close button it will just stop the audio. If I select the PiP window and use the shortcut CTRL + SHIFT + ] the audio will continue playing as I want it however this is inconvenient and requires using the keyboard, is there any way to change it so that closing the popout player doesn't stop the tab from playing audio?

Firefox should have a button to activate detectportal.firefox.com function as it continually communicates to the network even though it is not required. By placing a button it can be activated when needed.

I just activated the new tab grouping feature (that has been something I've really wanted from FF so that I can start getting away from Chrome) and I've tried it out and have been happy with it so far. I understand this is in beta still I think and I had some questions:

1. I notice that I'm not able to save and close a tab group, is this expected functionality until tab grouping goes GA?
2. I notice if I have my tab group minimized and have a tab open (that is NOT a part of the group) and I close that tab that the whole browser window will close. Is that also expected?

Really excited for this functionality to continue taking off; I do love a way to organize my many tabs!!

Can you integrate MS Authenticator as Password manager for Firefox? I like storing some passwords directly in Firefox, but Authenticator is easy to carry on his phone and on othher apps.

Hi, BIG fan, but.. Is there any way to "convince" the beauuutiful dev`s to give us a radio check box in the settings that says "I know what I`m doing so I will update when I see the need" (and in fact turn off the veeeery annoying "UPDATE!!, UPDATE!!"... window, that is driving me inane. Comes up like something was on fire :( then it is just some minor thing for those that love streaming... that means... not me. I don not want to, but I probably have to (after umpften years with the fox) start looking for a browser that does not drive me nuts. Give people the option to update if and when they want to, without a over needy window in the top right eeevery 10 seconds, give it a rest, please?

How can I disable the huge Firefox logo appearing on the top of the default home tab? It is enormous and takes up valuable space. Instead of having four neat rows of shortcuts which all show on a new page (like it used to be) that page looks terrible now. I have tried everything formerly recommended to others asking the same question (about:config, proton, etc.) and nothing works. My current version is 136.0.4 (64-bit). A workable solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am managing some linux servers in schools.

Actualy a lot of users are working with firefox.

Depending on how the user is working with firefox, the profil may reclaims a lot of disk space.

Is there a tool working like :

firefox_cleaning_tool /path_of_profile /options xxx

with some options like : cache / etc...

For exemple : the tool flushes profiles caches files and user have no action to do to continue using firefox as usual

this kind of tool should run every month (ie with crontab)

Is there a way to do that ?

I can manual flush some folders contents but I am afraid to do mistakes.
