Hi folks. The title of this question started 2 weeks ago. Was fine before, but now a yellow triangle on the padlock.

Running test sites show everything secure. I have certificates. No other browser shows a warning. I read your help article and all is just like it should be. .htaccess redirects domain.com to www.domain.com and http: to https: just as it should. But still this "error". It must be images in my header, footer and sidebar, but I cannot change the path for those in any way I can find.

How can I correct this?

Thanks!

It was restarted after upgrading to 107.0.1 but the Firefox doesn't ask my master pwd anymore and disappeared all stored password .

In a profile I found 1-1 logins.json, logins-backup.json both are almost empty and a one day old logins.json.corrupt file with a quite huge size.

When I renamed logins.json.corrupt to logins.json as I found in forum, restarted Firefox it became to *.corrupt again.

My Windows Task Scheduler contains an entry called "Firefox Default Browser Agent". If I delete it, it returns. If I disable it, it re-enables itself. How do I NUKE this permanently?

I already have telemetry and automatic updates both turned off.

A related problem is that the About Firefox window keeps saying "Firefox is being updated by another instance", even though I always "Dismiss" the prompt to download the latest version. (I'm using v107.0.)

Hi,

No matter what I do, a google dialogue box encouraging me to use google for password management, pops up every time I go to a site, new or existant.

I've gone into my google account to disable such requests, and, indeed, otherwise use google for nothing....not even search............but they keep coming anyway.

am using ubuntu 20.04, and no other utility or code is giving me this trouble.

I want to stop this dialogue box and eliminate any code in firefox or ubuntu which supports it.....as I have no idea why this box showed up....one day it just started.

Many thanks!

I access multiple sites under a single domain:

https://my.domain/site1 https://my.domain/site2

Each site has a login, and the same account name (e.g. 'me') is used for each site, but with different passwords. I must use the same account name for each site.

As far as I can tell, the password manager will always truncate the full site url to just the domain name when saving the passwords, so both sites are saved to the same entry.

The password entry edit function does not allow one to edit the URL associated with the site.

Is there a workaround for this? Thanks, Diab

I am sending in a new laptop to HP(Windows 11) for service on the keyboard and want to physically remove the stored passwords setup and synced via my Firefox sign-in, but want to make sure they do not get removed or get unsynced to my account(so can still use on existing Firefox at home). I see where you may find the location of the directory which they are stored, so can you simply delete or clear that directory on the HP device before sending out for service? Will it re-sync when PC is back at home and not effect my other live devices I will be using?

Hi,

as an admin I administer O365 web-sites/consoles in Firefox. I have two accounts in Firefox: my normal account, and my admin account which has far greater rights. The problem I am having is since I have enabled the option "Allow Windows single sign-on for Microsoft, work, and school accounts" (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/windows-sso?as=u&utm_source=inproduct), I always have to confirm two times that I want my admin account to login to for example: https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/#/ Is there a way to tell FF that I want only the admin account to logon to the specified link so I don't have to select the account every time?

Thanks

Problem: This account has problems and i can't even delete it even though I want to so badly.

Context: This problem is related to the password used for logging in mismatching with the password used for password resets/deleting the account.

(I think this has something to do with adding a secondary account and then making this one the primary. I also deleted the secondary original email attached to the account/secondary email)

Anyhow, i reset my password twice today via mail, since to do it via 'manage account' you need to give the old password and this always gives a 'incorrect password' error. After resetting my password i log into my account and try to delete the account/change the password, and i once again get the 'incorrect password'.

Unrelated to this issue i also had problems merging passwords from 2 accounts, this account did not merge its sync data but my other one did. I even tried importing passwords from csv and it did not help.

At this point I just want to delete the account.

System: Ubuntu 22 Desktop Firefox is installed via Ubuntu software, so it runs snap-store Firefox Version 107.0.1

I tried to create a saved password for a site I need to log in to. The Create New Login form says "Make sure this matches the exact address of the website where you log in." I enter the exact address, username, and password and save it. But what shows after it is saved is a truncated form of the address. It lopped off the specific account ID information for my login page. So when I try to go to that site, my login page can't be found. Why can't the full address be saved?

Hi Firefoxers, I am wanting to test an email before I send it out to clients, the email has a link to a video in the heading of the page. When I click the link in the email it opens the webpage, but the link defaults to "preview not available" the rest of the page is viewable, but not the image of the video. At first I thought it was a broken link but when I send a test to colleagues using IE it opens automatically and they have the option play the video.

I made the following changes in Preferences > Privacy & Security > Autoplay > Settings > Allow Audio & Video

I refreshed the page, didn't work Restarted Firefox, still didn't work

Can I get some advice on the correct settings or where I am going wrong.

Attempting to edit currently saved credit card information does not work.

Steps to reproduce: Navigate to "Privacy & Security" in Settings (about:preferences#privacy) Scroll down to "Forms and Autofill" Click "Saved Credit Cards..." button Click on saved credit card info to select a card -Observe: Selected line item highlights blue Click "Edit..." button

Result: Nothing happens. "Edit..." button darkens and lightens to show that the UI element is active, it just doesn't produce any result. Selected credit card line item highlight changes from blue to grey. Clicking "Edit..." button again does nothing. User cannot edit saved credit card info. "Add..." button presents a new modal when clicked, but "Edit..." has no result.

Private window icons in Win 10 doesn't work as expected with Profiles

I have shortcuts to launch Firefox in two ways, one with no commands and one with the following command: -P "Personal" --no-remote This used to show two separate Firefox icons on the taskbar. Firefox windows opened in each profile would be grouped with the same profile and kept separate from other profiles. With the latest update I still have two icons, the Default profile has a Firefox icon and the 'Personal' profile has a private browsing icon. Even though there are no private windows open. According to latest updates, if I open private windows then they should be grouped with their own icon. However, whether I have Default or Personal profile windows open, Private windows are grouped with their standard browsing windows.

This is on Win 10, Firefox 107.0.1

Any ideas how to fix this? Ideally I would have the standard Firefox icon on both profiles then, to conform with the private window separation update, my private windows would be separated from the standard windows but also from different profiles.

Deleted secondary email cannot be reused for a new account; Mozilla still remembers

Hi, here is my situation.

1. I made a firefox account with a (primary) email, e.g. email1@example.com. 2. I followed the instructions here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-primary-email-address-firefox-accounts to change my primary email. So now I have - primary: email2@example.com, secondary: email1@example.com 3. I delete my secondary email (email1@example.com)

I want to make a new firefox account with email1@example.com. But when I enter it https://accounts.firefox.com/ firefox wants me to log on. (And if I put in the password to the account it was originally tied to, it says to log in with the primary email.)

The behaviour I expect, especially for firefox which advertises itself on (among other things) privacy, is that if I "delete" something from my account, it is actually gone. But clearly, firefox is still keeping track of email1@example.com

There are other users who tried this in the past but not given a solution: - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1393844 - says to disable sync. I signed out of all devices - did not change anything. - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1356551 - no responses - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1344201 - says to delete firefox profile. email1@example.com still being remembered by firefox (not that I really expected deleting a local profile to affect firefox's servers). - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1365073 - suggests deleting the firefox account completely. However, as the original poster of that question mentions, that would risk locking out both email1@example.com and email2@example.com , at least unless a firefox developer confirms that it would actually delete the data. - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1329144 - mentions that from a GitHub discussion, "a primary email that has been replaced with a new email is Not released for re-use"

I could not find that GitHub discussion mentioned, but assuming it is true, I'm wondering if there's a way/where I can make a request to the corresponding developers to implement truly deleting user data (when requested by the user)?

Thank you!
