How can I remove Google as a search engine that appeared after having my computer checked for viruses etc? I want to restore duckduckgo as my primary search engine.

My Firefox browser recently updated to 115.11.0esr (64-bit), and now embedded videos won't play, I can initially see a picture, but instead of starting to play, the screen turns dark green and I can only hear the sound. This happened once before recently, but then it seemed to fix itself after a week or two. How can this be fixed?

I use the Rapport Add-on to protect my personal info especially when doing on-line banking at the moment I have to use Chrome but I would rather stay with Firefox but you dont have this extension why?

Hi guys, Just wanting to know why the Captcha is so hard. I sometimes need to do the captcha 30-40 times. Can't there be a simpler way to do this. it's very frustrating when I google an address that I need to go to but it takes 15 minutes to get through the captcha. I end up closing Firefox & opening Chrome or Edge. Can something be done about this? Also, Captcha is not clear.. When it comes up with "Motorcycles" is the rider included in this? Or "Stairs" is the hand rail included in that? Please change it to make it simpler so I can continue using Firefox. I'm using Windows 10 on a computer.

I have a question.

I just spent about 6 hours marking up a 39 page form using PDF editor. It worked great, but I’d like to know if I’m able to save my progress. I may want to make edits or changes to the PDF but don’t want to start completely over.

Is there an option to save the PDF in its current state so I can make changes or edits in the future?

I’m able to save the PDF as a PDF but I cannot find an option to save it for future use or edits.

Would like to know. Thank you

How do I turn off those annoying "update available" notifications/reminders that keep popping up? I've gone into Settings, and in the Updates section firefox only let's me select auto updates or check for updates. I searched online but couldn't seem to find anything about how to disable the notifications all together with the newer version of FF. It's driving me crazy, thinking of switching browsers because of this. Thanks in advance!

PG&E is notifying its customers on its website that Firefox (among others) is "unsupported."

   "Your browser is unsupported.
   "Please use a different browser. To learn more, visit pge.com/supported-browsers."

I have not noticed any problems viewing/interacting anywhere on their site and would like to know why they are making this warning. I suspect that Mozilla.org would have a similar concern.

Signed into Wall Street Journal. Clicked on a subject. Got this on a screen Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information). Tried to ask the question at WSJ, Their trees are hard to get through. What is a browser console?

This is something that I've noticed for a while, but why is it that whenever I go to Twitch and try to open a live stream, it always comes out muted? This does not happen if I use Twitch on other browsers, or on my phone.

I recently got a new computer. Installed firefox onto it. Brought over my profile with all my data and bookmarks. But for the life of me, the page would just sporadically flicker. I tried messing with the settings; performance settings; hardware acceleration. I tried refreshing firefox. But nothing.

After years of accessing www.youtube.com with Firefox with no problem, the website is no longer accessible as of yesterday. When I point my browser to that URL, I get a screen with greyed out video previews, greyed out titles, greyed out account access and a search window that does not do anything. I can access YouTube just fine with Safari. I've cleared my cache. Please advise.

something apparently got corrupted in firefox.. i tried running update and i keep getting failed to update.. i have refreshed.. i have uninstalled and reinstalled ...nothing. i am sure there is a folder or file somewhere that is corrupted and i cannnot find it. because even when i uninstall and reinstall fresh. all my bookmarks are there .. how to i start a TRUE NEW install??

When the little yellow man is placed on to the map, and a direction arrow is clicked, the view just continues to spin round. Clicking on the 'X' in the top right hand corner terminates street view. This does not happen with other browsers.

My OS is Debian 12, Firefox is the latest version 115.9.1esr (64bit).

I've had an ongoing issue with Firefox now for several months since upgrading to windows 11. When I try to copy text, or images, url's or anything really that is supposed to go to the clipboard, it copies a blank text with no data instead. I can copy text and images from other programs and even paste them into text fields on Firefox but I can't copy from Firefox to anything else and it's frustrating.

I recently got forced into upgrading Outlook in windows and hated it so I started using Thunderbird and surprisingly, I have the exact same issue there as well.

I have tried: Running Firefox in safe mode (Shift + Left Click) Resetting Firefox Switching Back to default themes Disabling hardware acceleration Updating to the latest Beta Build (v126) Running Firefox Developer edition

I really want to get this fixed and working, I don't want to have to switch to another browser =/.
