Yesterday I discovered a pop-up attached to my Mozilla Firefox, it was essentially a white box, with a grey bar inside, which I dangerously clicked as it would not allow me to close or access my Mozilla. Clicking the box revealed an ad for something call PC Keeper which now also shows in my remembered links as being in a second window. I was forced to shut down my computer to close the Mozilla, making all my links unavailable to me, and ultimately had to uninstall it from my computer. I attempted to reinstall a new version, but, again found this PC Keeper attached to it, it's white window firmly locking everything up, and forcing me again to uninstall the program. Please, find me a way to once more have my Mozilla without this PC Keeper.

I`m reading shown below, to solve this, NPSWF32DLL should be deleted in Firefox program files folder by looking for a plugins folder, but i cant find "Firefox program files folder". It also says to delete corresponding flash player.xpt, Could you help please?. My computer is Windows 10-Firefox 49.0.2
""Go into the Firefox program files folder and look for a plugins folder. If you find a folder by that name, open it and see if there is a NPSWF32.DLL file in there. If so, delete that file and delete the corresponding flashplayer.xpt file from that folder. Actually, you can delete that folder altogether - Firefox hasn't had that folder for a number of years now, but will use whatever files might be in there from years ago.""
Firefox will not open.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled, but have the same problem. Chrome opens, no problem. What else can I do?

I have had problems with streaming Channel 4 TV UK for many years. I could only get it to work on Windows. Recently I have Dumped Window 10 - so slow - updates take all day. I now am using Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (using Linux since 2009)
Channel 4 say they Do Not support Linux ?
I have tried to install Adobe Flash Player, but does not seam to work or download. On Ch 4 web page I pressed Allow, but say that I should install Flash Player !
Please could anyone advice me what I can do, or what I have done wrong.

Greetings.
It turns out when I have Firefox Quantum focused, and leave it inactive for around five minutes, my computer goes to sleep.
That doesn't happen when I have it running in the background, or not at all.
It's getting frustrating, it happened quite a few times, and I now I am CERTAIN, that it IS Firefox's doing Firefox Quantum's doing.

I have been having major problems with Firefox. It constantly crashes when I open certain sites, when print from some non processing sources. It even crashed with I followed your instructions that I found online about crashing to go to the Menu & Help & About Firefox. It crashed when I clicked on About Firefox. I have the updated version & I have uninstalled & reinstalled numerous times, but nothing fixes the crashing problem. I am going to have change my default browser unless there is a solution to this problem. Please contact me & advise me how to fix this. It is very frustration. Thank you.

dianet Posted 7/16/17, 5:18 PM When using some sites, there are many redirects and I even get a new fire fox page. Why and how can I fix this?
I am using a Hewlett-Packard - HP ENVY TouchSmart Sleekbook 4 with windows 10 64 bit operating system.
Extensions: Adblocker Plus and ZenMate Security, and unblock VPN
Plugins: OpenH264 Video Codec
Shockwave Flash 26.0 Widevine Content Decryption
When I go to primewire.ag, ,watchfree.to, putlocker.today, etc and click on a tv show a new smaller firefox page opens, or some other site that I DID NOT CLICK ON.
I have followed to the letter all the remedies I have received from your TOP Contributor Happy 112 and Nothing is working.
Every single time i go to a web site using Firefox I get redirects to other sites. If I'm using ZenMate the redirects are to English sites. If I'm not using ZenMate I get redirects to Thai web pages.
Now my question to Firefox 1. can this be fixed? 2. How do totally uninstall FireFox and reinstall it with none of my bookmarks and no extensions?
Please help Diane

Hey! Weird problem:
I could not login via google, facebook or similar accounts on websites that support it. So I tried disabling all extensions and restarted FF without any luck. I then tried Safe Mode and it gets the job done but when I reset/refresh FF and get the extensions I wanted back it does not work again even if they are all disabled!
any insight on that? is there like a hidden extension that blocks it? I'm on the latest FF for Mac (el cap)! thanks, your input would be highly appreciated!

I launch Firefox and access the website. The destination website is simple, rich, regardless of type. A few seconds after the website is displayed, the number of revolutions of the power supply fan increases and the sound of the fan increases. And although the temperature of the power supply unit does not change greatly, the rotational speed of the fan is nearly doubled. As soon as I close the Firefox window it starts to slow down.
I endure the noise of fans and use Firefox for 20-30 minutes continuously. At this time, even if the user does not operate it, the fan rotation speed maintains the high-speed range just by leaving the window open and leaving. As soon as the window is closed, the speed drops.
This doesn't happen with other web browsers. This happens even if I recreate the profile.

The solution below no longer works. My current version of Firefox is 64.0.2
When did this problem start for you?
On Mac, Firefox 56 ratcheted up the security sandbox, limiting which files pages can use on your system. This apparently prevents Firefox from using font files in a "suitcase" or "Adobe Type 1" format. The developers are aware of this and some fixes were made in Firefox 57, but they might have missed some font types or unexpected font file locations.
To see whether this is the problem, and as a temporary workaround, you can reduce the sandbox security level back to what it was in Firefox 52-55 as follows:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Return. Click the button accepting the risk.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste sand and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the security.sandbox.content.level preference and change the value from 3 to 1 and click OK
That change won't take effect until the next time you quit and restart Firefox

A few days ago I started getting full page spam messages when looking at threads in one forum only. I have to keep backing out or closing out of Firefox. Initially FF blocked them, but not anymore. Norton never blocked them.
These messages only come up when using one FF profile, not another. They also do not show up when using a Chromebook, so I presume the problem is on my end.
I have cleared all cookies & cache and did a complete scan with Norton, Malwarebytes, & AdwCleaner. Even restored Windows 7 back to an earlier time. But none of this helped.
They are full page messages & say they're from AT&T, Walmart, or Visa. However the addresses all start out with: happy.luckyparkclub.com/………..
Sometimes the messages appears right away & sometimes it takes a few minutes.
I cleared FF cookies, went back to the forum, & then looked at the cookies again. I noticed that happy.luckyparkclub.com and dbmtrk.xyz both appeared in the cookies list at the same time, 23 seconds. The forum cookie was time stamped at 22 seconds.
If I look at the forum using a different FF profile there is no problem & neither of these 2 cookies are there.
If I open a New Private Window in the problem profile then I don't get the messages either, at least not yet.
What does the Private Window NOT access that the regular window does?
Which profile folder or file could be causing the problem?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Several months ago, Firefox stopped saving updated passwords. For instance, I have changed my Amazon password. Every time I go to Amazon it displays my old password (I can tell by the length), and after I manually enter the new password it asks if I want to update the saved password. I click yes but each time I go back it is still the same old password that is stored. This happens on many sites, not just Amazon.

Before Firefox 29 I could tell my devices to copy all tabs, bookmarks, passwords, and history from Device A to Device B. THAT is what Sync used to be. Firefox 29 took away that functionality. I used to be able to flawlessly keep two other devices synced up with my main device. Now we have no control over our Sync accounts and it does nothing to Sync devices after you get the "Setup complete" graphic.
So after years of flawless Sync functionality, now all Sync does is nothing.
Mozilla took away functionality from their product. That is the issue I would like someone to address: bring back to Sync the ability to tell my devices to copy all tabs, bookmarks, passwords, and history from Device A to Device B.

As of today, February 9, 2015 I am unable to connect to my Verizon Fios home page. When I click on the Firefox icon to open the browser, my bookmarks appear, etc. bit it will not connect to My Verizon home page. I am able to go to all the web sites that I want to but I cannot connect to Verizon. I called Verizon but they weren't able to help me, unfortunately. I hope that someone here will be able explain how to resolve this.
I tried using Google Chrome and was able to connect to Verizon's Email and News, therefore, I presume that this is a problem with Mozilla Firefox.
Thank you.
