I have change my home page to DuckDuckGo, but when I click on a new tab, "+" I get Firefox. I tried blank and it is indeed blank, so how do I set new tab so it opens DuckDuckGo? (Read all help articles.)

EVERY SINGLE TIME FIREFOX UPDATES THEY OPEN A NEW TAB AND ADVERTISE FEATURES AND GARBAGE I DO NOT CARE ABOUT.

DESPITE EVERY SETTING IMAGINABLE, IT STILL DOES IT. EVERY TIME.

WHY? WHY DO YOU NOT RESPECT YOUR USER'S REQUESTS AND CONTINUE TO DO THIS?

WE ALL REMEMBER THE TIME YOU SHOVED ADVERTISEMENTS INTO IT.

I"D RATHER PAY FOR FIREFOX THAN HAVE THIS RIDICULOUS GARBAGE HAPPEN EVERY TIME YOU UPDATE THE APPLICATION.

MAKE A SETTING FOR THIS OR SOMETHING THAT YOU WON'T JUST IGNORE OR OVERRIDE THE NEXT TIME YOU WANT TO SPAM YOUR ENTIRE USER BASE

I noticed recently that my 'Add Shortcut' button has disappeared. I've been through other articles and they were of no help. I have 4 rows selected for shortcuts so theres no reason for it to be gone.

Since version 148.0b2 (64-bit), it's once again not possible to enter search terms in the search box of a new tab; instead, the browser searches in the address bar. I've had all the settings I found in the forums configured correctly for over five years, and they haven't changed. - browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar = False. Despite this, the search still occurs in the address bar. Now I'm back to the awful search in the address bar. How can I fix this? Please fix this bug as soon as possible.

Jetzt geht es aber wieder mit der Schrecklichen suchen in der Adresszeile los. Wie kann ich dies ändern? Bitte diesen Fehler (Bug) schnellst möglich beheben.

The weather widget is set the country I am from, however I would like to actually use a different location for the weather. Is it possible to do? I tried to type in the city I want it to be set to but it only shows cities from my country.

Hello. i noticed that my shortcuts are missing. i went to settings to check if it's enabled (check mark) and it is in fact enabled. tried to reset my computer and the shortcuts are still not there. on the main firefox page there is actually no shortcut icons on there...at all. all of the options in settings work with the exception (of course) the shortcuts. i would like to know why this is happening...thx

Q: Homepage and Tabs allows URLs; New Tabs offers only Blank and Firefox Home (Default)

Any way for New Tabs to also have a URL? Why not?

Issue Summary: My website (mass-doc.com) displays blank thumbnails in Firefox's New Tab "Recent Activity" section, while other websites (Claude.ai, Ahrefs, FamilySearch, Fox News, Xfinity) display their OG images correctly in the same section. Environment: Extensions Installed: uBlock Origin, FireShot (both tested disabled with no change)

Evidence That OG Images Are Correctly Configured:

The weather widget on my FireFox homepage, as well as the information when I type "weather" into the address bar shows me as in Montreal QC, Canada. But I am in New Hampshire, USA. When I try to type a different city name after clicking the 3 dots next to the widget and choosing change location the only cities that come up are Canadian cities.

I am not running any kind of VPN, and when I check my location with an IP lookup it shows me in the correct location, my locale settings in Windows are set the the US as well.

The New Tab Page is a fantastic tool. Are there any plans to allow more than four rows to their layout? I would benefit greatly by having 13 rows. Might there be any plans for that?

j'ai l'habitude de faire mes recherches sur la barre de recherche centrale et non sur l'url. Bien que le curseur soit positionné dessus, je ne peux pas y écrire, je suis redirigée sur l'url. J'ai bien mis à false la ligne qui convient dans about:config, mais ce n'est toujours pas possible. Que faut il faire ?

I set up my new tab (after the Home page which was Google News for my profile) to show shortcuts in four rows. Clicking on these shortcuts opened the URL for an account or webpage. I "pinned" or "dismissed' these shortcuts over time. Somehow, I lost every shortcut and cannot seem to figure out how to recreate this.

Dear Firefox:

My Firefox New Tab Page will not load properly in normal mode but it will load in troubleshoot mode. The new tab is the normal typical Firefox start page. It has multiple sections with links to many sites. These "links" just flicker. They do not fully load.

When I turn on troubleshoot mode, everything loads fine.

Hi, I just want to ask about the customization option on the new tab's low right corner (the little pencil icon). I've had a background image called "Galaxy" that i thought was pretty, but it disappeared (probably sync settings on other devices, idc) and now the background is just system gray. The issue is that i cannot find the system background in "Themes" nor in the "Customization" (picrel) - there is only "reset to defaults". I really like Firefox and this was pretty cool so I'd like it back. Thanks in advance :)
