I noticed that recently, several of my machines (all logged into the same FF account) are experiencing pretty extreme performance penalties, and when on battery, the battery drains very quickly. Within the Windows Task Manager, I see that FF is often taking up 50%+ CPU even though I'm using fewer tabs than usual. Within `about:performance`, I see that Multi-Account Containers is the resource hog.

On another machine where I am not logged in, FF performance is pretty good. On the affected machines, Edge runs very fast with low CPU/memory use, so there's definitely an issue with FF on these machines.

About:config shows that extensions.experiments.enabled=false, and the Containers plugin hasn't been updated in 2.5 months.

I would prefer to not uninstall containers since they're so useful. I could clobber and reinstall them for testing, but is there a known issue or a quick fix for this?

Hello,

I'm using Containers and am able to log into different gmail accounts simultaneously.

However, I'm curious as to whether or not it would be possible to link a specific account to a specific container? (e.g., my work email automatically logs into the work container, same for personal email).

I use LastPass, but would Firefox passwords work to make this process more automatic? I set "Gmail" to automatically open in my "work" container, but it takes me to the landing page and requires me to sign-in every time.

Perhaps, I should just stop clearing my history/cookies and just hide the containers instead so the data is saved and I remain logged in. I am curious if there is another solution that I'm overlooking. (I would be down to help build one, too!)

Updating to Firefox 75.0 seems to confuse Multi-Account Containers when opening a site in a non assigned container tab. Is there a fix?

Example: I have an email website assigned to the "Personal" container. When trying to open a separate email account in a new tab and different non assigned container, I am prompted by Multi-Account Containers, "Would you still like to open in this current container?". I click on the "Open in Work Container" button, but it still goes to the assigned container, "Personal". It should not go there unless you have checked the box for "Remember my decision for this site", which is unchecked. Note: It was working correctly before the update to 75.0. Thank you!

I can't seem to get the firefox multi-account containers add-on to work. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times and closing a re-opening the browser. I've tried disabling all other add-ons in case they were interfering and, as far as I know, I have the most recent version of the browser. It shows it installing and then nothing happens and the container symbol doesn't show up. What's going wrong?

As explained above, I've been using the Firefox Multi-Account Containers add-on since it came out I think, never had a problem till after the latest update (74.0 on Windows 7 64-bit.) Something is wrong with how the Sync works for this add-on, because I keep deleting Containers but they come back instantly and sites open up in them instead of opening in No Container. Please help!

How to use 'Firefox Multi-Account Containers' for multiple accounts of the same service?

I've read through 'Firefox Multi-Account Containers' at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/multi-account-containers/ . In particular, "Sign in to two different accounts on the same site (for example, you could sign in to work email and home email in two different Container tabs." - but it does not instruct us on how to make it work.

What I am trying to get working is two separate accounts at Amazon... A container for a personal account, to shop at amazon. Another container to access the affiliate store account, a completely different amazon account. And without having to log in/out manually all the time.

I have installed the Amazon Container ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/amazon-container/?src=search ) and it works just fine. However it traps both the shopping site and the affiliate site into the same container. When I log into my affiliate account, it remembers that account when I go to the shopping site.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've installed the latest version of Firefox. Firefox Quantum 63 x64 and ReCaptchas don't work properly. It has been installed on a fresh Windows 10 Pro and Firefox it's at the same time a fresh install like I'm showing on the video at the end of this post. No firewall, no antivirus, no addons, nothing that should stop Firefox from automatically do the ReCaptcha. But every time you click on I'm not a Robot it always prompts you to do a puzzle.

Please Firefox, fix this issue. It is pretty frustrating to have to answer every time a puzzle that are ridiculously annoying or having to switch to Google Chrome to use those kind of pages that ask you to answer a ReCaptcha.

However, if there is anyone that has a solution, please share it with me or all of us. Because I've been trying to find an answer and haven't find one that works. So I will appreciate a good fix for it.

Thanks in advance to the community and hopefully Firefox finds a fix because for what I've read it's a persistent issue with other older versions too.
