Hi there, I'm having trouble opening firefox that suddenly didn't open after I've used it as usual. When I've closed it, I've put the macbook on sleep mode and then reopen it after 10 minutes and tried to open firefox as always. It didn't. I'm trying to figure it out and I've followed all the possible paths on Mozzilla's support and others blogs, but none of them worked out. I've tried also to uninstall and re install firefox from scratch, but nothing happens: I still get the message. At this point I don't care if I need a fresh start, I have a bookmark's backups so, how can I really uninstall Firefox and install it from the beginning? Is there a hidden folder I'm missing? MacBookPro8,2 - macOS 10.11.6 El capitan

I need to have Firefox on my old Macbook pro, but its OS (10.11.6) will no longer update, and a new Firefox download won't take. Can I download an earlier compatible version?

At one point I installed the newest version of Firefox on my MAC (Early 2008) running Catalina. I found it would not run as that release needs a newer MAC OS.

So I went back and installed Version 78. That did not work either. So I tried Firefox 10.0.11esr.dmg, 10.0.9esr.dmg, and even Firefox.45.9.0esr.dmg.

After install, I get the same message.

You can't use this version of the application Firefox with this version of OS. You have 10.11.6, This application requires 10.12 or later.

My theory is that even though I uninstall Firefox, some trigger file gets left behind and I get this error message no matter what version of Firefox I install.

Anybody have any ideas on how I can run an older version of Firefox?

I have hit the Sept 30 Certification issue with this old MAC and I hope Firefox will be a work around. - Thanks Rod

I am using El Capitan because I am using an old Mac. Operating system 10.11.6. I've tried downloading FESR but always get the same error (pictured). What is the problem?

I have the Mac OS X 10.11.6 version and need the older Firefox back. All my bookmarks are gone now. And, I cannot find the old file. Please help me restore it to a version I can run on this computer.

All routes to access gmail accounts on Macbook air do not connect. If I type "gmail.com" as URL the bar reverts to "about:blank." If I open google and click on "gmail" or try to access through the apps grid the "G" icon flicks but I'm not taken to account. I can still access the base account through phone or chrome so the issue seems to be through this browser.

My firefox was lagging so much that I opted to uninstall and then reinstall it. Unfortunately, the version that is available wouldn't work with my old version of Mac. It is OS.10.11.6 Is there an older version of firefox that I can use it with (or even restore?)

Hello, I have issues with some (not all) websites. The problem is that text is not displaying properly all of a sudden. Some letters display and the rest not. The text can be highlighted but still not displaying. I tried to refresh Firefox, Restart with Add-ONs disabled, tried to reinstall FIrefox. Manually tried to disable all Add-ons as well. Then I tried some of the suggestions here https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Headers/Set-Cookie/SameSite#browser_compatibility

No matter what I try it's not working well. There was a browser update to version 78.12.0esr (64-bit) made around 20 days ago and had no issues till now. I'm used to Firefox and using it for work a lot and prefer to keep using it. Buttons (links) are not displaying as well but are clickable and opening the content. Screenshots are uploaded as well.

If anyone could suggest how to work it out would be much appreciated. If other details are needed please let me know.

I updated my OS X to 10.11.6 recently. Firefox is dead. I attempting to install an update as instructed on Mozilla. Does not work. I tried the “enterprise” version, too. It doesn’t work. Tried to recover via Time Machine - since it was system update that didn’t work, either. I’ve lost all my bookmarks. WHAT can I do? Sending using Safari 11.2 since FF is dead.

Olders versions was not able to work properly either on this website. Firefox open it and let me visit the site normally but as soon as I click on a program to look at, looks like the screen and connection freeze... Little Snitch Traffic monitor indicates that there is no more data exchange but connection still active.
