ok so I am using firefox on my school computer and I recently I used bing for my xbox to get points. but when I used bing all of a sudden yahoo is my search engine even the in settings it says google. I hate yahoo does anyone know how to get google back?

I occasionally visited this site https://referti-empoli.uslcentro.toscana.it/portalepaziente_user/user-login (it's a site managed by the local health authorities). I am reported that a safe connection cannot be established with the message PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR. I am not shown any option to consider this site SAFE (no matter what, it's SAFE and I need to access it occasionally). I also use ESET anti-virus software. I can access through other browser, at least the show me it couldn't be safe but allow me to go on. I don't want to switch browser once in a while to navigate. I want to use Firefox in any case (or switch to another one that allows me to). How can I make it work (apart from deleting cache, temp files and history, which did not work)? Thank you.

When I opened Firefox I received a "news message" that makes no sense to me. How can I revert Firefox to its former usefulness? There is something about the former installation of Firefox being undisturbed, but I cannot find that installation. Apparently this has something to do with sync-ing my desktop Firefox with other installations -- I've less than zero interest in sync-ing.

What happened to the bookmarks I had stored in the bookmark bar? How do I get those back?

So I recently installed Firefox beta. It installed on top of main firefox. Now I am in beta version 84 but if i try to open regular firefox release version 83 it says running an old version will corrupt profile data. It just has an option to create a new profile, so i am asking if there is a way to import my settings from my original profile or make my original profile run on version 83 or should I just wait for version 84 to be released in main firefox.

In the screenshot I've provided you can plainly see that "Provide search suggestions" is unchecked, yes the browser continues to provide search suggestions based on my search history.

How to make this stop?

Since 1-2 months my Firefox address bar grows vertically to about 1.5 its normal size when I click it. I think this came with an update. How can I disable this? It's really annoying and unnecessary.

At some time in the past I installed regular Firefox and updated throughout the years. But for the past maybe year or so, the updates have been Firefox ESR. I don't recall ever having installed the ESR version. Why am I only getting Firefox ESR updates?

THIS keeps on happening at least 6 - 8 a year. ive cleared the cache off Firefox, rebooted it, got a now TESCO site and it is still the same. Yet Google fires up all right all the time. I have got 3 pc of a type and they all can get TESCO without any trouble. Ive been with you for 20yrs and am reluctant to change noW. Tesco just say your better of using Google than Firefox, which isn't much help. Yes they can get me on (sometimes) but they all ways say Google is the one really.

There must be something i can do?

I added the language/spell check to my work email (outlook.office). I follow the same procedure in my hotmail (outlook.live) and although I added them, it is not an option when I type a message. I use Firefox as a browser and cleaned the cache. Elizabeth

When i close my "main" Firefox window and after that the opened popups, this breaks my "restore previous session" setting.

this is not the first time because sometime i forget to close the popups first...

With the 'Show all Bookmarks' page open on my MAC desktop monitor screen i accidentally deleted all of my bookmark folders (listed alphabetically) following those beginning with the letter 'P'. I am in REAL trouble unless i can restore those deleted folders to the active list.

i tried following the suggestion that i open up my 'profile' in 'Library' and i found the deletedbookmarks file. But that file seems just to list deleted bookmarks by recent dates.. Whereas I need to restore the list of deleted bookmark FOLDERS to my active bookmark list and status.

I had 'Show All Bookmarks' on my screen and accidentally pressed delete, which deleted all of my Bookmark folders ( arranged alphabetically) after the ones beginning with the letter P. How do i restore the remaining folders to the active list??

A few days ago I found that Captcha was not working in Firefox on a Mac. I click on the relevant squares but get a new screen to work on. It just goes on and on and no matter how many screens I complete it won't let me through. It works fine on other browsers.

I hate Captcha and can't understand why webmasters can't use a better system to check that a viewer is a real person.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Hey, I recently shifted completely to firefox from edge, i was wondering how can i enable the bookmark toolbar only for the new tab, like i have it on but it stays on for every site, is there a way that will make it appear only on the new tab but not on other sites? thanks.

cannot log in to my Bank of Montreal online banking!!!

I've used Firefox for years, and for years I daily do my online banking.

Now all of a sudden, without any warning I cannot log into my bank account. I've tried clearing history, etc. I've tried the about:config change...

I can log in fine with Microsoft Edge.

My wife uses Firefox and she can log into the bank. I suspect that is because Firefox has not updated on her computer.

This is maddening, to put it mildly.

Have tried all suggestions in Support area on topic: Lost/Recover Bookmarks. Also spoke to Windows Support and was told to call Mozilla Firefox Technical Support. I've been unable to find a number.

I had a Windows update around the same time as a Firefox update, May/June, only realised all saved bookmarks prior to June 2020 have disappeared. This has never happened before.

Urgently need to find out if there's a method of retrievel or have it confirmed that all of these very important bookmarks are permanently lost.

I am just wondering why FireFox occasionally becomes slow to load web pages. On these occasions, restarting Firefox fixes the problem immediately.

Example, I was just loading the same page repeatedly because of some work I am doing. After about 15 minutes of slow response times, I restarted FireFox and immediately, the page loaded very quickly as usual.
