How to print out my passwords in Firefox? I need to migrate user names and passwords for various web sites to a new computer

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1253828 does not seem to work because the caret (») is not visible in Firefox 72.0.2 (64-bit) that is on my machine. This is most annoying. Firefox and T'Bird are the most difficult software to migrate to new computers.

I need the export as a CVS. The other approaches either don't allow copy and paste or they are JSON and I have no clue how rto use that.

The other angle: logins.json (passwords) and key4.db (58+) for Passwords saved in the Password Manager I don't see a way to get that into a spreadsheet.

It is particularly annoying because there is an import function but no export function. I have over 300 web site user names and passwords. Hours and hours of work to just copy one at a time.

I had multiple Firefox windows open in which I had organized different categories of things I was working on. The first window in the group was my primary window, in which I had all of my active projects, which the tabs help me remember to do.

Last night there was apparently a power outage, and when I opened my laptop the windows were out of order, with the primary window at the end of the group. Naturally I kept navigating to the wrong window because of this, so I attempted to close the windows one by one, intending to reopen them in the correct order.

I accidentally closed the last window, however, thus closing Firefox entirely. When I reopened it, the Windows and Tabs history were completely erased (see attachment). Is that supposed to happen? Is there no way to maintain a backup of this history that can be restored, like a snapshot that is generated once a week or so? Moreover, is there no way to recover my closed windows?

I have just done a Windows System Restore, but it had no impact at all on my Firefox windows or history. Is there anything else that I can attempt?

Hi I attached this to an already solved question and I'm afraid I won't get a response. After update to 72.0.1 Tabs merged with Bookmarks Toolbar. The solved solution of new text for the userChrome.css file doesn't work. The userChrome.css text jdevlin supplied does not work on my Firefox. I had to create a new chrome folder as this update seems to have deleted it. I pasted the text into the userChrome.css but there was no change. What am I doing wrong?

Really need help on this, Firefox is practically unusable like this.

Thanks!

I have looked through all "Fix common audio and video issues" posts to no avail.

I have a Vimeo video file which is loaded into the background of a web page as a simple HTML video element with all inline properties set to allow it to run - muted, playsline, autoplay.

It works fine on all other browsers, and even on a private window in Firefox (72.0.1) but absolutely will not load in a normal Firefox window. It fails with a 403 HTTP error, and I just cannot see why.

The URL is https://dancersvscancer.co.uk/ - it's a simple website for charity event in February.

Any ideas? I'd be grateful for the help.

FF 72.0.2, Windows 10 desktop. My server sync data was corrupted so I deleted my ff account (changing pw did not delete server sync data) and created a new account with the same email and different password. There are 2 issues with the attempted sync: (note: only the desktop was on and had a ff session)

(1) POSSIBLE SIGN-IN ISSUE: I left the account signed in on accounts.firefox.com after creating the new one and then signed into sync. You can see from the 1st attached image that the sync engine thought there was a different user being signed in and I did get a "New Sign-in to firefox" email. That could be because of my vpn, but the accounts sign in when creating the new account was with the same vpn generated ip as with the sync sign in, so I don't know what's going on there.

(2) SYNC ERRORS: Looking at the 2nd attached image you can see there were unknown problems with the extension-storage engine. While I did not include the complete log file, there did not appear to be any problems with the other engines. In the end syncing failed and the server was flushed. Don't know what extension-storage is?

Hi, I hope you're having a wonderful day, and I hope someone can help me with this.

3 days ago, I accidentally press a hotkey, then the web page becomes smaller, and has empty space around it (screenshot: https://ibb.co/RQ74q3Z ). I attached the screenshot below, too. This doesn't affect other web pages. When I open the same page from my other computer, it happens the same way. I tried [ctrl +] and [ctrl -], but it only changes the font size and doesn't make the space go away.

Thank you for your help.

As of a few days ago, the Firefox taskbar Icon has not remained independent of multiple browser windows open on multiple screens, when this has never been a problem prior. I have to right click on a window to open a new one or have all of them not in the main screen, and I don't want to do that because it is not how it is supposed to work. What has happened? I permanently have multiple browser windows open with specific sites i check every single morning when the PC gets turned on so I don't have to search for anything. What is going on peoples?

I've tried the solutions recommended in other threads, which have now been closed, removed the @namespace, tabs still on top.

Edited: I realized all the garbage in the address bar was back, so I moved the tabs on bottom code to its own file, then used the userChrome.css to make the tweaks for the address bar. Those aren't working either.

This is the code in my tabs_on_bottom.css file.

/* TABS: on bottom */

  1. navigator-toolbox toolbar:not(#nav-bar):not(#toolbar-menubar) {-moz-box-ordinal-group:10}
  2. TabsToolbar {-moz-box-ordinal-group:1000!important}
  1. TabsToolbar {
position: absolute !important;
bottom: 0 !important;
width: 100vw !important;
display: block !important;

}

  1. tabbrowser-tabs {
 top: 300 !important;
 width: 100vw !important;

}

  1. main-window:not([chromehidden*="toolbar"]) #navigator-toolbox {

padding-bottom: calc(1px + var(--tab-min-height_tnot)) !important; }

/* TABS: height */

root {
--tab-toolbar-navbar-overlap: 0px !important;
--tab-min-height: 33px !important; /* adjust to suit your needs */
--tab-min-height_tnot: 32px;

}

root #tabbrowser-tabs {
--tab-min-height: 33px !important; /* needs to be the same as above under :root */
--tab-min-width: 80px !important;

}

  1. TabsToolbar {

height: var(--tab-min-height) !important; margin-bottom: 1px !important; box-shadow: ThreeDShadow 0 -1px inset, -moz-dialog 0 1px !important; background-color: var(--toolbar-bgcolor) !important; } /* hide windows-controls */

  1. TabsToolbar #window-controls {display:none!important;}

/* move caption buttons to right of Tab bar */

  1. main-window[tabsintitlebar]:not([inFullscreen="true"]) #toolbar-menubar[autohide="true"] ~ #TabsToolbar .titlebar-buttonbox-container {

position: fixed !important; right: 0 !important; top: calc(6px + var(--tab-min-height)) !important; display: block !important; visibility: visible !important; }

  1. toolbar-menubar[autohide="true"] ~ #TabsToolbar {padding-right: 100px !important;}

Whether I import this file or put the code in the userChrome.css file, it makes no difference. I'm running FF 72.0.2.

When using the "Checkout with PayPal" button on websites the PayPal popup window appears however it's impossible to progress to the checkout.

When OneTouch is activated, the text 'Securely logging you in...' appears overlayed with the spinning wheel in the popup window. This continues indefinitely.

When this is not activated the window doesn't progress further after entering the email as prompted by the window and pressing Next.

It's possible to login to PayPal in a separate tab however that doesn't influence the popup behaviour.

Looking at the console in the popup there are a few 'Unable to find window by ref window.js:148:14' errors.

In the 'host' window where the popup was called from the console displays the 'Failed to execute ‘postMessage’ on ‘DOMWindow’: The target origin provided (‘https://www.paypal.com’) does not match the recipient window’s origin (‘https://www.paypal.com’).' error.

I believe this could be a recent issue because I was able to make several payments last month with all settings the same. I have a separate user.js file that I keep my settings in (I can send it over if required). These settings have not been changed since the file has been created.

The following actions have been tried and didn't improve the situation:

- refreshing the current profile

- disabling all addins

- adding paypal.com into exclusions for 'Block pop-up windows' and Enhanced Tracking Protection

- cleaning History and cookies

I then launched Firefox with a separate 'clean' profile and was able to make the payment successfully. Sure enough, importing my user.js file broke PayPal. I went through the settings commenting them out by groups.

The following setting was causing the issue:

user_pref("privacy.firstparty.isolate", true);

Setting it to 'false' made the PayPal popup window work correctly again.

Thought that this would be helpful for anyone experiencing similar issues. Cheers.

I used to not have issues with Firefox but in recent weeks Firefox has crashed so much that it's becoming increasingly unusable for me - I've had 63 crashes in the last 24 hours, including 6 in the process of writing this post. The crashes do not seem to be caused by any specific website or action, and they still occur in safe mode. It is becoming increasingly rare for Firefox to last more than a few minutes without crashing. Any information that would alleviate me of this problem would be greatly appreciated. Hello! My Firefox tabs crash constantly since I got a new computer. I have tried all the suggestions I can find in the forums. I did try downloading Firefox for enterprise but I could not figure out how to get it up and running, it seemingly installed, but Firefox seems to be the same. My new (to me) computer is a MacBook Pro 13" mid 2012 if that has anything to do with it. I have Parallels installed on my computer for the first time, if that might have anything to do with it. I have not had the problem with Firefox crashing within the Virtual Machine, though. Here is the latest submitted crash report: bp-f70bd533-3d22-4cd6-9f39-498920200121 Thank you for any insights and help!

In the past 5 minutes, MFF 73.0 x64 crashed 3 times. I've sent an error report, I always do, so quite a few should be at Moz. System: I5 6600K 16gb RAM GTX 1060 6GB 16tb disk space, of which 60% to 70% in use.

Crashes are irregular in time, but always with an instant CDT.

Tabs also frequently crash out on me, for no apparent reason. This too happens at irregular intervals. See picture below.

Please advice? Thank you. Xog.
