how to add Yahoo search as default search engine if Yahoo is missing on Firefox Search. on Search setting i can see different engines Google, Bing, Ebay, etc. but there is no Yahoo.

quick find, aka shift-7 sucks, not to be mean but when i try to type in my game im making it comes up as quick find, im using scratch and im making a calculator, please help me find out how to de-activate it.

Somehow yahoo became my default search engine and when I do a search I get the same advertisement that blocks the entire landing screen, how can I change it back to google?

I'm struggling to disable this behavior of firefox. When I type "something: text", it's opening a pop-up asking "Open link with System Handler?".

I would rather just search the internet for "something: text".

How can I do that?

I've tried to play with parameters like network.protocol-handler.expose.something network.protocol-handler.app.something network.protocol-handler.external.something network.protocol-handler.warn-external.something

but didn't manage to do it

for about 8 years now, on and off, on hundreds of OS-es, clean installs of firefox etc. sometimes - not always - typing into the firefox search bar and pressing enter does nothing

i have bit-warden, u-block-origin and stylus installed (but they shouldn't be running on the 'new-tab-page' - is my firefox sync-profile containing some firefox-breaking-errors? (latest Win-11)

Each time I open Firefox and type in a search I get a message like something went wrong and I need to verify that I am human. Then I have to go through the pictures and identify the ones with bicycles or motorcycles or Buses. Aggravation which I've never experienced before . I've made Firefox my default browser and I'd like to get rid of the problem. Thank you, any suggestions.
