I set up my Home Page with 3 rows of my own shortcuts (sponsored shortcuts are turned off). All were pinned and alphabetized. If I go a couple hours without using Firefox, about half of my shortcuts will have been replaced with others. None will be in order. Have tried setting up the Shortcuts several times, is really getting exasperating. Is there a simple fix in about:config?

When launching Firefox Malwarebytes reports a trojan and shows blocked website verifications.io This happens just about every time. Wikipedia tells me "Verifications.io is a defunct email-focused technology firm whose primary practice was to validate email addresses for email marketing platforms. The company's platform allowed for email marketing firms to submit lists to the company, which would verify the lists for valid email addresses."

On a fresh install of openSUSE Tumbleweed 20240313 with KDE Plasma 6 (Wayland), the X button in the upper right corner of the screen does not allow you to click it when the pointer is in the upper right corner of the screen. Default behavior in KDE is to just let you close the window anyways even though the button itself is circular.

Is there any way to change this?

I have never managed to get Firefox Sync to work on my devices, I don't know why. I don't get an error message saying it failed or why it failed. I run Firefox on desktop (Linux) and Android, both always updated to the latest version.

My use case is simple, I just want my mobile Firefox to have all the bookmarks I have on desktop already.

On Android, when I go to my account settings it says "Las synced: never". Clicking the "Sync now" button does absolutely nothing.

On Desktop I go to Settings - Sync, press the Sync button. It appears to work, though no feedback is ever provided.

When I go to about:sync-log, on desktop, finally an error is shown. It seems to attempt to connect to https://sync-765-us-west-2.sync.services.mozilla.com/1.5/207352084/info/collections and fails. Manually going to the URL also fails on both desktop and mobile. Entire log below

On my computer Firefox ask for the master password every time at startup. On other computers in my family, Firefox only ask for the Master Password when accessing a site with a password. I tried : - to disable than reenable Master Password - start in SafeMode without success. How can I solve my issue ? Thanks in advance for your help

Hi all, I've been having this issue for a while. I am unable to view streams on YouTube or Twitch (Twitch will show streams as offline, whereas YouTube will not even show streams), and I have encountered a new issue where YouTube allows only 360p on videos. I have used the HTML5 Video Capability Test and seem to have an issue in that department (images attached). Even in troubleshooting mode, the issue persists. Any help is appreciated.

I have a current version of Firefox (v123.0 running on Windows 10) but I can't do what I used to be able to do? (And it is making me nuts!)

I used to be able to resize the contents of a site - such as youtube or wordpress or tumblr - there would be a little % on the far right of the URL bar, and I could adjust that until the site was readable and all the pieces I wanted fit in. I can't find a control that will change this for me in the new version. Is it somewhere else? Did that control not port into the new version? Is is gone for good? (I really hope not!) I realize this is such a small problem, but it affects how I interact with basically every site online.

What makes this extra frustrating is that I'm not even certain I am using the correct terms for the thing I want -

I recently installed openSUSE TW on my new laptop, and as part of the default Firefox install it bookmarked many openSUSE websites. I removed them from my bookmarks, but they still remain in the address bar recommendations every time I click/open the address bar (see pic). I have cleared the all time history, I have double checked to make sure that they are no longer bookmarked, and the only way I can get them to disappear is by completely disabling "Shortcuts" in Settings -> Address Bar — Firefox Suggest -> Shortcuts => Untick. I'd prefer being able to just click the address bar and click on the websites I frequently visit. This has happened in the past, but I thought I just removed them from the bookmarks and the links went away. Any help greatly appreciated!

Yesterday, I ran a format on my computer with Firefox in installed on it. When I tried to recover my settings, history and bookmarks later using sync after logging in to my account nothing happened. Can you please help me recover my data? Thanks in advance.

This issue has arisen on Firefox for Linux Mint (my current version is 123.0 (64bit)). I like Firefox, and I like its bookmarks toolbar, and have used it for many years, but there seems to be a new bug introduced today:- The bookmarks toolbar is present and correct when I start Firefox, but now it disappears as soon as I select any bookmark, or if I enter any web address or if I open a new tab. The [View >Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar > Alway Show] option is already selected, but the toolbar is no longer visible. If I click on it again, the bookmarks toolbar reappears (or I can restart Firefox, and this will also restore the toolbar). But the toolbar now disappears as soon as I use the browser in any way, and so is currently not really of practical use, as it needs constant restoring. Hope you can help resolve this. I've read all the suggestions but can't get Firefox Sync to transfer the open tabs from my old PC to my new one. I'm signed in on both to the same account, both are on my LAN with a wired ethernet connection, and I've checked every box in the "what to sync" field. When I click "Sync Now" the icon spins for a few seconds like it's doing something but the tabs from the old machine do not appear on the new one as I expected them to. Nor can I get them by closing and doing a Restore Session.

This seems pretty straightforward and how most users would expect it to work - am I missing something? If not, why isn't it working?

I had to reinstall windows 10, and then Firefox on my computer, after logging into Firefox on this fresh install (had to reset password), my saved passwords and bookmarks are not there. They still exist on my phone, and my phone is now asking for the new password to start syncing again. If I log in on my phone, will it sync the passwords there to my computer? I am worried syncing will cause the ones on my phone to disappear. Is there any way to export my passwords/bookmarks on the phone(android) to file? As a backup just in case. I logged in on an old computer thinking it would sync, even if it was out of date, but now it also shows 0 passwords saved.

Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS Firefox 123.0 (64-bit)

The browser deletes cookies when closed. Every time I log in, I need to re-enter passwords (they are saved) on all sites, this is certainly tiring. I read about a similar problem from other users, they had the “Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed” setting enabled, but I didn’t.

I am having a very frustrating problem that is driving me huts.

Just the other day I was commenting in a text box like this one and I hit caps lock on my keyboard and a little grey box I had never seen before appeared with a locked lock. Then when I hit caps locks again on my keyboard an unlocked locked appeared in the little grey box. But it stays in cap locks and no matter what I do it won't go back to lower case. And when I say nothing shuts it off I mean its doing that on every site I try to comment on. Shutting down the browser does not help. And the only way I can get caps lock off is to actually shut down my whole computer and basically start all over.

You community volunteers are the best and quickest help I can get so I went straight to you for help.

Within the last few days, I've noticed I'm losing functionality in certain online apps through the Firefox browser.

When I'm on Instagram, I can't check direct messages: the function stalls out without resolving.

In Gmail, I'm unable to embed an image in an email. I can attach it like normal, but the embed button doesn't respond.

In Starry AI, I'm unable to use any menu options at all, I'm stuck at being logged into the account and can't logout, check my settings, or request help. I receive this message: "Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information)"

In firefox 1230 I can't see which tab is active because it has been improved. is that such a great idea -I know it makes us fiddle around for longer and if that is the intention then no one will want to change it except me.

Hi, I am using the newest Mac Air 15" with M3 chip, with the latest version of firefox (123.0.1) I have found an issue where when I put YouTube videos in fullscreen mode, the dock will not disappear like it normally would. The only workaround I've found is to put firefox in actual fullscreen mode (which then makes the dock disappear entirely), but I would prefer not to do as I typically maximize my screen instead. I'm assuming this is a bug on firefox specifically as fullscreen mode for videos/other things works normally in Chrome and Safari (which I also maximize screen), with the dock disappearing as it should.

I don't know if anyone else has encountered this issue though (as everything works fine on my older Mac...) Hopefully this can be resolved soon? I hope this makes sense :")
