My Wife's computer - still on Windows 10 - says it can't start Firefox as it is still running, hitting the "close Firefox now" button just returns us to the same screen. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Firefox it tried to do a "reinstall" it says her profile is no longer available, while inconvenient she still should be able to start it up, but it still gives me the same message. that it is still running and needs closed. Trying to "close it doesn't do anything. I have restarted several times and even did a shut down and restart. Nothing seems to work. I assume some "stub" of Firefox is out there in the system/cache making Firefox think it is is still active but I can't find it to shut it down. Where do I need to go to "end task" on this phantom Firefox?

Other information: 1. We have Norton Security software installed, if that matters. 2. The same seems to happening to Thunderbird, but maybe I need to go to another help forum for that? 3. I am entering this issue from my computer that seems to be just fine with Firefox, so can't send browser data as it is irrelevant to the issue (it's on a different computer and install instance.

Today I installed a new extension (Bitwarden) and want to add the icon to the toolbar. I can't find it anywhere. The add-on shows up in the add-on manager but there's nothing there to help me add the icon. The little puzzle piece in the upper right of the browser -- click on that and Bitwarden isn't listed.

How do I fix this? In Chrome there's a simple toggle switch in the extension manager to add the icon to the toolbar. Frankly, if I can't get this Bitwarden icon to display I can't use Firefox at all. Thanks.

When I visit the web site virtueonline.org using Firefox browser, the Disqus comment section does not appear below articles on the site. Sometimes, when I go in and out of the article, the Disqus comment section will appear, but not always. When I use Microsoft Edge, the Disqus comment sections appear.

I have set Firefox as my default browser. I can open it using a shortcut on my desktop. However, if I follow a link from an email, it does not open in Firefox. How come?

My old email keeps showing up when Firefox is trying to auto fill email. How do I change that in Firefox. Same with addresses, My mailing address is shown in many different ways, all variants of my actual address.

Also, I have some kind of browser hijacker (BING) that keeps directing me to Bing website. I have tried the standard procedures as outlined, bu t still BING often redirects my searches. I am also working with my anti-virus people to try to correct, but thought I would ask you as well. After the last couple of updates Firefox will not wrap words in view source screen(CTRL+U). This makes the info very difficult to read as most lines of code run off the screen. How do fix this? Thanks.

How do I import the firefox passwords I saved as csv file from firefox into firefox. I am not importing from a different browser which is the only option offered. I'm importing from the newly created csv file as instructed by firefox.

Hi Mozilla Suport teams, i am currently using the mozilla for the developer version and the app runs flawlessly, and i love it. But i have some suggestion for the developer at mozilla to make a tab that can group the tab into a fresh tab like the google chrome has, and since i open so many tab in this browser, i would absolutely love it where the feature of grouping tab is available for me, so i can group them in name and leave it there, rahter than open up more than 10+ tabs in a window. Long time Firefox user. Had automatic update to version 121.0 on 12/19. Shut down that night. Next morning (12/20) Firefox opened as if it was a totally new installation - no bookmarks, extensions, etc. Downloaded 121.0 64 bit version; uninstalled Firefox; reinstalled it with downloaded version - same issue. Replaced profile with backup copy from 12/17. Firefox started properly with all bookmarks, extensions and other settings.

Shut down on 12/20. When computer was started this morning (12/21) and Firefox opened - same issue - presented with brand new never before opened Firefox. Shut down Firefox, copied over 12/17 profile, restarted and all bookmarks, etc. were there. Restarted Firefox using about:restartrequired and everything was still as expected.

Windows 10 is up-to-date. No updates found for extensions.

Thoughts on what might be corrupting the profile or what steps I can take? I have 25 enabled extensions. Since a restart didn't revert me to the brand new never opened presentation, activating them one at a time doesn't seem to be a worthwhile approach.
