Hi, I have to use Firefox 115.18.0esr (64-bit) due to depending on accessibility tools I need.

I am now finding that websites based on the Discourse Forum will not support this version of Firefox so I was wondering if anyone knows of an FF fork that might work.

I had family over at weekend and ironically none of their Apple devices could access such forums either, not on their iPhone or their iPad.

I tried to contact Discourse but of course their own site depends on the latest version of their awful forum software too.

I think that it is shocking for any website or app or other service to just cut loose disabled, elderly and those in developed countries who depend on old software.

I am still on Win7 as that is the only platform that runs the tools I depend on.

One member of my family was talking about running an Oracle Linux server in the Cloud (wherever that is) and running virtual machines (whatever they are) to allow me to run old and new, but they said that might take months to setup and could not even be certain it would work.

I find it ironic how website are designed to not lose a single user through bad design and they they cut of thousands with this archaic policy.

So I am here to ask if there is a workaround, either a fork that works with these sites or a hack of 115.18.0esr (64-bit) that makes it report that it is V142.04 or something.

Any help would be appreciated.

a web site continues to say mozilla browser need update to correctly access web page. I have downloaded latest update ESR for Firebox (using windows 7 OS) But web site still says I need update! Is it me or the web site that has the problem?

Hi, I have an old PC with Win7 and Firefox 115.30.0esr (64-bit) (latest version from 11 november 25) and this website cultuursmakers.be has problems aka differences with Firefox 141.0.3 (of my Android tablet) and other browsers such as Chrome. The green heading block overlaps and hide the upper part of the content block. For example, if you select inloggen (log in), then you see that the user name (naam) is not visible and only the box for the password is shown. Work around: Right click on the header and select Inspect. In the Inspector (html column) select the header tag. In the Inspector (css column) uncheck in the '.header.--fixed' selector the line 'position: fixed;' Now the content block shifts down and all content is visible. Can you verify / fix that? Here we go again. Apparently with this latest version 115.28 I no longer have an open new tab button on my tab line. How do I fix this and tell modifiers to stop changing things that were working fine.

I tried to resolve this by calling their support teams, but they were not able to help me from their end. This leads me to believe that something on my desktop is causing this. I do not have this problem with any other websites. Can you help me resolve this?

How can I check what is being loaded on my computer with my browser Firefox when I start up Firefox. It takes too long for my homepage to load compared to other browsers. Can someone help so I can determine what is being loaded when I start up my browser Firefox? Thank you.

My Firefox browser recently updated to 115.11.0esr (64-bit), and now embedded videos won't play, I can initially see a picture, but instead of starting to play, the screen turns dark green and I can only hear the sound. This happened once before recently, but then it seemed to fix itself after a week or two. How can this be fixed?

I joined a couple facebook groups. Each offered a file tab with documents available for download.

I tried numerous times with firefox and it failed. Clicking the "Download" item on the ... menu caused the same files tab view and list to open in a new tab.

I hated to do it, but I dusted off M$ Internet Explorer, logged into FB and joined a group, clicked the Files tab, selected a file, clicked the 3 dots, menu popped up and I clicked "Download". Poof. The Save As popup appeared, the file was downloaded. Works as expected with IE.

Might there be a setting in FF that is blocking such downloads of PDF and .doc document files?

I need to find where all my bookmarks are on my computer so I can restore them. My operating system is Windows 7. Even when I try to restore through import/backup and it says it was successful there are none of my saved bookmarks. Can you help in specific steps how I can get these back? From what I read there should be a Firefox file on my computer where these are all saved. Thanks!!
