I don't know why, but sometimes (like every 2 days), firefox crashes on startup, then opens itself after the crash but it don't load the previous tabs and deletes the pinned tabs, so I just have to favorite everything if I want to reliably keep tabs after closing the browser. The open previous tabs option is checked and working, but when the browser crashes on startup, the browser don't open them, so I keep losing them and the pinned tabs every once in a while (every 2 days, wich is quite frequent).

Hi,

Yesterday I did a stupid thing, I managed to lock myself out of my account in Firefox. I had set up a secondary account, but that was locked out too, once I managed to change my password. (I know, silly me...)

So now I created a new email address to be able to create a new account in Firefox. I would like to set up one of my 2 'regular' email addresses as the secondary account, but they are associated with the original Firefox account. Is there an amount of time after which I would be able to use my previous 2 accounts again, or is that a never?

(I don't feel like creating another new emailaddress especially for this.)

I am sorry for having been so dumb and now wasting your time, but I am looking forward to your answer.

Kind regards, tjar

Hi, I have been using an extension that helps with my school's website for years and now for some reason it has been taken off the firefox store. It's still up on chrome and edge and all of the Dev's other add-ons are still up, its only this one on firefox. I emailed the dev and he sent me the zip file and I've been having to install it as a temporary add-on with the .json file every time i open firefox and its getting really annoying after a year of doing this. How can I just install it permenantly?

After updating to the latest version of Firefox (110.0.1) I can no longer sign in to my navy account. I've been using Firefox for years and never had an issue.

Normally, when I sign in, it brings me to their dual authentication page. Now, I just get an "access denied" page.

I used other browsers to sign in to ensure the issue wasn't with the Navyfederal.org webpage. But I can sign in without issues there.

How can I revert to a previous version?

I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 on a new, blank m.2 drive (my computer didn't have a TPM until I added it) and my intent was to be able to access the Windows 7 OS as needed (old apps). I haven't been able to boot back to Win7 since the upgrade. I need the bookmarks from the old install. I can access the old drive. I did not export the bookmarks recently in the old OS. Is there a way to move the bookmarks to the new OS? Firefox was recently upgraded on Win7.

I am having trouble with my browser relating B of A online account.**I have had the BofA tech staff determine with me that the issue is with my Firefox browser.**When I log in to my BofA bank account, I then click on the make a payment button so I can pay online.**At that point when I click on the make a payment button my entire monitor screen goes white.**Sooooo frustrating.**We've updated my firefox software, we've cleared my cache history, we've also determined that if I use another browser like GoogleChrome that i now can make a payment online on the BofA website.*However, I only use Firefox and with all of the tech support I've received, they've assured me it is a Firefox browser issue and not a BofA online banking issue.*Also, I have another credit card with capital one.*When I go to that web page via firefox browber I can make a payment simple and as easy as always.*But no matter what I do, I cannot use Firefox to do my online banking with BofA.*For the last few years I've used the BofA online banking system with no issues.*Please help me determine why Firefox is giving me such problems ??**Folks are recommending I drop Firefox all togehter and go with Google chrome.*I'd prefer to stick with Firefox if someone from your tech team can PLEASE help me asap

I've tried resolving this issue after looking at various solutions here on this site as well as other sites. The message "Your browser is being managed by your organization" shows in my settings, However, when I go to the Policies thread in the registry - whether it's under Local Machine or Local User - there is no policy registry entry for Firefox or Mozilla.

Please advise. This is really annoying.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I have a firefox account for a while, where I save everything. Today I had to format my computer because he had a problem, and when I downloaded Firefox to use it and put my account it looks empty.

Nothing is synced, I don't have any favorites passwords and etc, and even my account looks empty without any info into it.

I checked if it was another email but none of them are, this is the only one I already have account and checked my emails from before and this is the correct one, please I depend a lot on this account and really need it back.

There used to be a way that we could change a setting to make Firefox prompt whether a user wanted to save on exit. This was extremely useful as I had the choice each time. Sometimes I want to automatically resume my last session, but most of the time I don't. I don't think it should be necessary to have to select 'Restore previous session' as sometimes when I start Firefox I don't remember and I've lost important websites that I haven't bookmarked.

Is there a way to do this in the current version of Firefox? I miss it.

Thanks in advance.

Since i was connected to a Firefox account and enabled sync i thought that all my extensions and bookmarks would show up when i logged back in on my newly reset computer. But problem is that i just logged in and nothing is sync, i lost everything! Is there any way to get it back somehow or is everything lost?

Thank you!

Hi.

Firefox is very slow. If i do the same browsing, in Chrome, there is no problems.

Reinstall Firefox, and all the guides, is tested - no luck.

I really love Firefox, and have used it, for many years, but this slow experience - that will scare me away.

Two updates ago, I had an issue where if I used any Google web products, I had weird network problems that just didn't go away (4000ms ping spikes every 5 packets). I noticed it was only when I was using Firefox, so i tried disabling add-ons and extensions, it still happened. I opened it in safe mode, it still happened. I tried using Chrome and Edge, both did not cause issues.

I reset my Firefox completely (There was some custom CSS to put tabs on bottom, where they belong) and it was perfectly fine! No issues! Everything was great for a few days!

Then you guys updated things again... and it was back... so I reset my Firefox again, and even straight out of the box, its still causing the issue, but now only when using google products, with or without add-ons, there is no custom CSS anymore either.

I do not know why its an issue, but it is, and it is ONLY with Firefox, and I really do not want to switch to Chrome or Edge... It also persists after Google is closed, until I restart Firefox.

I am unsure of specifically why this is happening now, but it is a MAJOR problem for me

I am somewhat new and ready to leave. Firefox help is very disappointing. That said, does anyone have a clue why the Firefox browser takes literally minutes to execute a search and most times I do search it goes straight a google captcha that I have to do 5-6 times to proceed. I do have a vpn but it is routed through the US. Also, zero problems with Chrome, Edge, and Brave. I am assuming it's a setting or is Firefox just trash?

My FF is set up to: - Always ask you where to save files - Open PDF in Firefox

On normal PDF links, FF opens the PDF normally without downloading (or after downloading it silently in a temporary location invisible to me). On "Force Download" links, FF downloads the PDF to the Download folder without asking where to save it. This is for example the case when clicking "Download" on a file in Gmail. If I click "Download" in Gmail on another file type that I have not set to "Open in Firefox", FF does ask me where to save it.

My expectation would be that, if the file cannot be opened in the browser, then FF would revert to the user's chosen behavior of "Always ask you where to save files".

I have been having trouble after logging in to my bank's website. They use a security feature that logs me out after 15 minutes of inactivity, which is great. About two months ago or longer, after logging in, it would log me out after 10 seconds. Sometimes I can log in and stay logged in after repeated log-ins, but the problem gets worse, until often I cannot stay logged in for more than 10 seconds at a time, no matter how many times I try. I've worked with tech support at my bank, and they have never seen this problem before. They recommended clearing my cookies and cache, but that only seemed to help once. Anyway, I cannot see doing that every time I need to log in to my bank, since I do that several times a day. So, they recommended that I switch browsers. I tried Microsft Edge. Problem solved. I have no problem staying logged in using Edge. I prefer Firefox - I have been a loyal user for decades. Can you help me figure this out? - Terry Mulcahy, Albuquerque.
