Using Firefox 100.0.1. Debian Linux. Dell 1525 with 4G ram.

When playing a certain mp3 file in the browser, if I use the arrow keys, or the mouse, to skip forward or back, there is no response, but the audio stops playing for a period of time, then, finally it starts playing again at the spot it was before.

This does not happen with this file in Chrome, or in VLC. Also, with other mp3s it does not happen in Firefox.

I finally got it to work by converting the file to ogg vorbis, but this is not something I want to make a practice of..

I imported the file back into Audacity, and re-exported it as an mp3. Same result.

Weird... Any ideas?

Hi folks, I had a problem with this back in June 2021 when my previously black background to the menu bar (bookmarks etc) changed to a washed out grey. Chris Ilias and dbben both replied, and Chris sent me a video guide on how to install Photon Colours, which fixed the problem, thanks. However, today the same problem has re-occurred - ie grey background. Unfortunately, when I checked in the Themes menu I found that Photon Colours is no longer there. Grateful if you could tell me if there is a new fix for this so that I can re-instigate the black background to the toolbar. Many thanks Chris

So weird, in the last few days, I've had intermittent behavior using FF.

Some examples - I log into my Gmail account, and it works for several minutes and then goes unresponsive and I can't get new mail, when I click the refresh icon or refresh the browser. - Last 3 days, when I click a hyperlink in an email, a new browser tab opens, but it's blank, the url doesn't seem to pass to the new tab - When I type a search term in browser address bar and hit enter, the tab refreshes but nothing happens... e.g. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=firefox

Troubleshooting steps tried. - Disabled all extensions - Started to uninstall FF, but got prompted to "refresh firefox" instead, which I did yesterday, but still have the same problems...

I can access Gmail and other functionality works fine on Chrome on same laptop. I've used different laptop with FF and it works fine, both machines on the same network....

I've toggled two-step authentication off/on multiple times, get new set of recovery codes, but I never get the QR coded, how do I generate this, please advise...thanks!

I'm sure someone knows how to change pdf icons. I've only been able to change the shortcul icon (which doesn't need changing - microsoft didn't work its evil on it). Please share your expertise!

Hello, I have trouble with browsing Facebook, sometimes there is a huge memory leak (please check the first uploaded image), and as you can see in the second uploaded image, after I "end task" the Firefox tab that use a lots of memory, the Facebook tab crashed. The third uploaded image is the addons I have installed.

Is there a way to solve this? I go to about:memory and click on all there buttons in "Free memory" but that seems to have no effects.

I was using lightspeed POS and routinely get a dialogue box asking me if i am sure i want to do something. in an effort to save .05 seconds, i selected do not let this website ask me again. this unfortunately broke a site function of doing the thing that requires confirmation and im sure broke countless other functions that rely on that confirmation. how do i undo?

Ive cleared cookies and site data, thinking it was sort of a cookie thing and it would reset, but no avail.

My CSS has always been directed to two effects:

- tabs on bottom - general transparency of the bars

The latest update luckily spared the former, but not the latter! Anyway, this time I haven't been able to solve it on my own, unfortunately...

I'm running Firefox 100.0 (64 bit) on windows 10 pro 21H2. I've been using Firefox to access Flightradar24 to view real time flight across the globe. All of a sudden today the map doesn't appear any more . I think they use Google maps and overlay their info.

The maps show properly in MS EDGE and Google Chrome.

So, YouTube sound doesn't work, and only YouTube, i already checked similarly posts but none of them helped, the sound plays for a fraction of second then just stop, if i click the player to like skip to a certain time frame of the video it plays the sound... for a fraction of second again... i don't know what to do. I already tried: Checking the player to see if its muted (and the tab) Checked other sites (they work fine) Checked if its a specific video (all of them have the problem) Checked other browsers (they work fine) Checked permissions Reinstalled Firefox Refreshed Firefox Restarted the computer multiple times...

Using FF 100. Last week the Washington Post suddenly will not display article content correctly. Main page is fine, but when I open a story, I get code and a page with many blank areas. Story content appears with small print.

No problem in Edge nor Chrome.

I am currently creating a website in WordPress. It has many embedded YouTube videos.

On pages with embedded YouTube videos, in order to go back to the previous page, I have to click the Back button multiple times. If I right-click on the back button, I see that the page I am currently on has been listed multiple times.

Many other support questions list this issue. I have found that if I disable "Site Isolation" (URL about:config -> set fission.autostart to false -> restart Firefox), the issue goes away.

I am interested, however, in the user experience for those who will go to my site. Is there anything I can do so that "Site Isolation" does not cause this problem?

I had to remove my side bar to do a print screen. With the latest version of Firefox I can't find how to put the side bar back! Not Happy..... It use to be obvious but now it is too hidden. Who is doing the user testing these days? Please fix the issue.

Hey! I think to migrate from Vivaldi but only couple of things stops me. I used to split some tabs in one screen there and looks like I can't find any good addons for that. There is one addon Tile Tabs WE but it is not what I need, I want to tabs be still along other tabs, I can detach them and place on my screen by myself without such addons but that's uncomfortable to use.

Recently, most of my PDF files that I open with Firefox have changed their icons from the Firefox HTML document icon (the purple icon in the image attached) to the Firefox PDF icon (the red icon in the image attached). Is it possible for me to change the icons back without downloading third-party software?
