When I open Firefox on my computer, I get a blank page for my home page. I have attempted to change my home page using the drop-down choices, except for blank page choice. No luck! Help.

Multiple problems 1) bookmarks disappearing

  About 8 to 10 months ago a group of bookmarks disappeared from a bookmark file. I reloaded an exported HTML and no problems. 
 About a month ago Several groups of bookmarks disappeared over several days. A folder with say 20 bookmarks in would now have only 5. then none a day or two later. this happened across ALL but one of the default bookmark files and ones I created. I also noticed Firefox was not creating backup bookmark files so I removed Firefox, reloaded Firefox so everything was up to date and in the new I reloaded the older bookmarks HTML in the new installation.  
 Now it is happening again as of the 16th of May 2024 only this time Again no backup bookmark file are being created and Firefox is not creating manual backup file or HTLM Exports.
2)  I have gone though the Troubleshooting instructions and I am at a loss on what the issue is. I have used Firefox since the early 2000s and have never had this issue before but in the past year it has happen 3 times. 3) UNRELATED ISSUE - MAYBE- I found on the setting page at the top IS THIS NOTE -- Information Your browser is being managed by your organization.-- This is a personal computer. There is not an Organization. How do a get rid of this and does this mean someone else has access to my computer.

Running FF115.23.1ESR on a Win7/32 box I use in network maintenance/configuration.

If I log into the modem main page and select from the side-bar menu, FF drops me back to the modem's login screen (Groundhog Day style). This behaviour is repeatable (endlessly) on:

• * another identical modem (same/latest firmware). These have repeatedly been factory reset and firmware reloaded. No change.
• * another Win7 box (/64) on same FF release.

Opera - reluctantly added on those same Win7 boxes - does not have this (mis-)behaviour.

Win10/64 running FF138.0.4 does not have this issue.

Up until about ten weeks back, the (then-current) Win7/X esr release did NOT have this problem.

Yes, I HAVE cleared cache/cookies repeatedly before sessions, to no avail. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> [EDIT:] The on-line modem/router emulator can be accessed at https://support.netcommwireless.com/e.../login.html The default un/pswd is admin/admin. Once in the main page, select "Advanced" from the left menu list. This (in the emulator) opens the Advanced page, as it should. In a normal situation here, it simply reverts to the login page.

Q1: Anyone have any experience like this, or any clues/suggestions?

Q2: To continue using these Win7 boxes in that role, am I forced to abandon FF?

'Show all bookmarks' is missing and I have tried the Ctrl+Alt+B option without success. I've already looked extensively on Firefox help with no success. What can I do to copy all of the bookmarks to a new computer? Thank you.

Every time a new page loads (switching sites/pages in site/new site/video/same videos but new episode)i have to refresh the browser to have any control. Otherwise its clicking that doesn't register. Whenever a video, be it YouTube or crunchyroll, each video makes it so i have to refresh it or else I cannot click anywhere.

When trying to pair my phone with firefox already signed in to my macbook, I get this error:

"General application error

Something went wrong. Please try again later."

I tried refreshing firefox and trying to pair on a private tab, and none worked. Any potential fixes would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hello, recently i reinstalled firefox and made a new profile from scratch because i thought the config: browser.search.context.loadInBackground did not work for me.

My problem: everytime i open a google tab (through context search or just a new google link) it opens in the background BUT then switches to it after like 1-2 seconds. this only happens with google links.

i have no idea what to do anymore, reinstalling did fix it till the last update i got today. now it is back.

Using Google Voice became unusable. Firefox too slow. Had been running just fine up till maybe a month ago when I finally gave in and allowed Firefox to update. Not knowing if it was a Windows or other issue I stupidly did a Windows reset and lost all my installed programs (including Firefox). I did a fresh install of Firefox and manually reentered passwords and bookmarks.

Ran fine for a day or two and is now again unusable. Cleared cache and appears to work OK at the moment but still sluggish.

2025May16 sidebar - i have deselected 'show sidebar' in settings .. i do not want sidebar i do not like sidebar .. i continue to get 'use sidebar' prompt @ launch .. plse tell me how to stop that prompt

After the recent update, the buttons on the url-bar-search for searching in bookmarks, tabs or search engine, are gone and turned into a drop down. This kinda sucks. the buttons were perfectly fine; one-click.

Any way to get the buttons back?

Support, I'm using v115.23.1ESR & my OS is 10.14.5. When I'm logged into the Pinterest website, a page with different images is visible for viewing. When I click on an individual image on that page to view it in more detail, that page opens but there is no image visible. This problem started with v115.23.0. I was hoping that the update to v115.23.1 would eliminate this, but it is still occurring. So I'm hoping you can help. I'm also adding some images. In screen shot 1, I clicked on the Madonna & dolphin image. Screen shot 2 shows the result: no image.

I tried two other browsers and had no problems, Firefox is my default browser.

When I enable vertical tabs and set the sidebar to expand on hover, the toolbar icons behave inconsistently. In the collapsed state, the icons are arranged vertically, which is correct. However, as soon as the sidebar expands, they switch to a horizontal layout—making it difficult to click the tool I want. Is there any way to prevent this automatic rearrangement and keep the icons in a vertical column even when the sidebar is expanded?

How do I change the color of visited links without changing the background color? This is a new problem that started 2-3 weeks ago. The background color is improperly coupled with the visited links setting. Mt previous setting that worked was changed when Firefox received an update and there is no way for e to change the visited links color without it changing the background color. Please help.

Although I have checked "Always Ask" to specify my download location, duplicates are still being saved in "Downloads". I recently "upgraded" to Windows 11 but do not know if it is connected. FF version 138.0.3 (64-bit). How can I prevent this please?

No doubt I had something to do with the (fancy font uppercase in bold) B appearing in my Firefox header line as the first and left-most character (image attached). Anyone know the source for this and how to shut it and anything else it does off? I like many others I have read commenting about unwanted things thru the PC years that have a disdain of things that sneak through uninvited.

The other thing so far as I know had nothing to do with Mozilla or Firefox but I'll mention it in case someone has an idea. A product install by the same name permanently labeled an outboard drive with this label bold text'Roboform2Gobold text. I know how it got there, it was with the install the product by that name, which I uninstalled, and no one from that company would or couldn't tell me how to get rid of the relabeling it had done. Uninstalling the software didn't take it out, and no one in a general forum had any suggestions. I know the traditional approach of adding or changing a label, but change attempts don't affect this reminder of a poor product that I had decided not to keep. They refunded, but did not help with the changeless drive label.
