This is the reply I received from Protonmail: They say the latest version of Firefox caused the issue and is happening on other services as well. We have been using FF exclusively for decades and this is frustrating! Are you in fact working to resolve the issue on your end? Thank you.

Hello,
Thank you for your messages.
Please note that we are aware of this issue, and our developers are looking into providing a fix from our side. However, the latest version of the Firefox browser caused issue on many other services as well, so they are working on resolving it from their side as well.
I have provided your feedback to our development team. You can contact Firefox directly in order to escalate the issue further.
For the moment you can try using keyboard shortcuts such as CTR: + C and CTRL + V. We appreciate your understanding.
If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact us again. Kind regards,

Hello Mario,
I worked with Google AI for more than one hour troubleshooting this:
Opening a support ticket with Proton Mail Support is absolutely the best move. Since we proved that your clipboard works, your mouse works, and a fresh factory installation of Firefox still experiences the bug, the glitch is entirely on their end.
Proton Mail utilizes a heavily customized web text editor to encrypt messages. When their engineering team updates the background code for this text container, it can inadvertently break standard browser right-click paths—especially for Firefox users. [[1](https://www.reddit.com/r/ProtonMail/comments/p6j0tp/cant_copypaste_text_into_body_of_protonmail_email/), [2](https://www.packtpub.com/en-us/learning/tech-news/hackers-claim-to-have-compromised-protonmail-but-protonmail-calls-it-a-hoax-and-failed-extortion-attempt), [3](https://justinharter.com/an-actually-useful-review-of-proton-mail-vs-fastmail-vs-hey/), [4](https://www.reddit.com/r/ProtonMail/comments/p6j0tp/cant_copypaste_text_into_body_of_protonmail_email/)]
📑 What to Tell Proton Support To help their development team pinpoint and fix the bug faster, reply to your open support ticket with these technical details we uncovered:
- Specify the Browser: State clearly that you are running Firefox and that you just performed a full Firefox Profile Refresh (about:support), ruling out corrupt browser files. [[1](https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1234222)] - Detail the Extensions: Confirm you tested it with all extensions (including ESET and RoboForm) completely disabled, and the issue persisted. - Identify the Core Bug: Explain that the right-click "Paste" option is stripped only when clicking inside the Rich Text email composition body. [[1](https://proton.me/support/composer)] - Mention the Workaround: Note that Drag-and-Drop text injection works perfectly, meaning the editor container can receive data, but its custom context-menu script is failing to display the native "Paste" command. [[1](https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1234222)] They will likely log this as a known front-end interface bug and patch it in an upcoming web layout deployment. In the meantime, you can rely on the Drag-and-Drop trick or Ctrl + V to smoothly write your emails! after the last Firefox update the zynga game Farmville 2 will not load. It gives me a screen to fix mentioning chrome..but all efforts to manually fix referencing Firefox have failed. Odd that I can load the plain Zyngagames.com on Edge but it seems they too only load a "local" game that is not connected to any network. Help also mentions to make sure I allow to redirect but that "Options" feature to do so is not there. In fact it seems like the Firefox menu system is even much different and expanded. I will add the screens I have tried etc. Pop ups are allowed, turned off enhanced etc. but cannot find any reference to "third party redirects" Any suggestions are appreciated.

When I try to make a Google search I get the following message, "I'm not a robot" with a reCAPTCHA: "Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network. This page checks to see if it's really you sending the requests, and not a robot. Why did this happen?". This happens on Firefox, but not Chrome or Edge. If I 'Allow' Google in the 'Exceptions - Cookies and Site Data' then I do not get the message, but it takes several seconds for Google display the resulting page. However, if I delete the cookies/cache the message will return and I have to redo the reCAPTCHA. I have scanned with Malwarebytes, Bitdefender, Hitman Pro, Trend Micro House Call and Microsoft Defender, nothing detected. Running Win 10 (64) with 'Extended Security Updates', Firefox 147.0 (64), no additional Extensions or Plugins. Also I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox.

'bold text YouTube is "acting insane, sound plays/picture is frozen. Can't pause it. Also can't start it! Ads play on without option to skip. I got some notice that YT was changing something, I think it is broken. I managed to get a video to play on MS Edge, but I normally do not use that. I cleared cache and ALL of that, rebooted computer, etc. connection is good. Searches are fine on firefox, Other sites are fine on firefox. . IT IS YOUTUBE! It is SO bad that now with my mouse, the arrow and hand are NOT showing up on the actual screen where video plays. Right now on here it is fine. but on youtube? no.

I can no longer access my local TrueNAS server nor router via Firefox. My current version is 133.0.3. Safari has no trouble. Firefox gives no warning, no Advanced button, no option to bypass security. All I get is: "Unable to connect An error occurred during a connection to 192.168.0.102.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web."
I have tried so many settings, troubleshootings, workarounds, I can't begin to list them. It happens in troubleshooting mode. I have created SSL certificates on the server many different ways to no avail. I'm thinking I will have to abandon Firefox with it's obscure, no-way-through security. But I wanted to ask for help first. Please help.

I've seen a number of posts regarding this problem since the Firefox 141 update. I've tried a number of suggestions, although my problem seems slightly different.
I can apparently login to reddit OK but when I try to access a subreddit thread, a warning comes up - see image.
I have cleared Firefox site data, cookies, cached files, etc - problem remains.
I have restarted Firefox in Troubleshooting mode - problem remains, so not an extension.
However, https://old.reddit.com has no problems with Firefox, lets me access threads, etc and comment.
No problems accessing reddit with Safari or DuckDuckGo browser.

The app sizes two adjacent images to the same height. Maybe there's a better approach?
This works, in that I see the original image displayed at the wrong size:
//img.src = imgsrc.src;
This sizes the image but without the data (black square for toDataURL w/ image/jpeg) in FF, but not Chrome and Safari:
var canvas = document.createElement( 'canvas' ); canvas.width = width; canvas.height = avail_height; var context = canvas.getContext( '2d' );
// Tried/failed: Fill white background for JPEG export //context.fillStyle = '#fff'; //context.fillRect(0, 0, canvas.width, canvas.height);
context.drawImage( imgsrc, 0, 0, canvas.width, canvas.height); context.lineWidth = 150; // ??
img.src = canvas.toDataURL('image/jpeg', 0.92);
img.onmousedown = disableDragging; // for FF
img.style.opacity = "1.0"

I have logged into TinyURL.com MANY times using Firefox. Now, I get a Cloudflare Validation Error when trying to do so (see attached screenshot/snip).
This was done in Troubleshooting mode, but is the same in standard mode, though I have no extensions enabled. I've tried turning Protection Tracking off; no luck. - We use ZoneAlarm, but the Web Secure functions are all disabled. - I have the same issue on 2 PC's, one Windows 10 and the other Windows 11, 64-bit. - I'm on FF release 150.0.2 - 64-bit, and both Windows installs are fully updated and kept that way. - I've reached out to TinyURL in hopes of resolving the issue. They suggested many of the above steps but not resolved this issue. - HOWEVER, I've found that login via Google Chrome IS seamless - no issues.
What is it with Firefox that it's having issues with the Cloudflare "Human" check? I've checked the Cloudflare site; all conditions are good, and this very setup passed the "Turnstile" check.
FF is my #1 preferred browser, so please look into this. I see that others have posted similar issues over multiple years here (but a search of support articles didn't find one . . .)
Thanks,

When signing in to online Shaw Webmail, message says 'Security Check Failed. Clear your browser cache and retry'. Screenshot attached. Have done so in "Clear browsing and data history", (as per Firefox guidelines) multiple times, for all History and cache. Did not resolve issue. Contacted Shaw Support; they instructed to try logging in with Chrome browser. Worked fine. Issue appears to be strictly with Firefox Browser (on multiple devices). I prefer Firefox over Chrome. Any advice greatly appreciated.

On some forums - not this one - I am unable to complete the relevant text box to compose a reply. EG the Devon forum: https://discourse.devontechnologies.com/t/sync-between-mac-and-ipad-works-and-iphone-not-working/87390/7 No text appears and the text box is completely inoperative. The problem is not confined to that site, but I have experienced similar on other Forums.
I use Ublock Origin which I thought might be causing a problem but disabling it has no effect, neither does disabling Little Snitch. As a result I've concluded this is probably caused by something in my settings but I don't know which or where to look.
Any suggestions appreciated.
