There are times that I use the screenshot tool on X.com and the filename it saves to is WAY too long. Sometimes it tries to use the entire content of the post as the filename. I see this effect in the title bar as well. Is there a way to change it so it only uses a date/timestamp and nothing else? Attached is an example of this extremely long naming. Decades ago, browsers had features to download the current web page along with linked pages and store them locally including updating the downloaded main page's links to reference the linked copies. It was even possible to specify how many link levels to copy along with the main page.

when web page sidebars became popular this became problematic for a while since sidebars often linked to ads or unrelated content (Wikipedia or GitHub for example). Then browsers started providing a means to disable webpage sidebars and display only the main page.

I can't find any of that capability in Firefox. I have searched the settings, extensions, Firefox support pages and found almost nothing related to simply saving web pages.

I fear that some day the website 'UESPWiiki' which provides support for my favorite game which is now (2025) 19 years old will some day go away. UESPWiki has side bars preventing simply downloading everything. Help.

Hello to everybody, I repeat my question and hope it can besolved persistantly: Opening local .mdb files (MS Access database) does no longer work in Firefox 139, but was ok in previous releases. The only choice is to save the file rather than opening it with the application MS access. Under Firefox settings/applications the file type .mdb does not appear, nor do I have a choice to decide how to open it. I expect to find an entry for .mdb files where to choose "always ask" as was the case earlier. Please help! Regards Volker Zipp
