Recently I have found that I cannot download statements from my bank account, also at the same time (2/3 months ago) I cannot access a Tesco website from Firefox. I can carry out these functions easily from Microsoft Edge, so why the sudden change ? Can anyone please help me to fix this in Firefox?

About a week ago I started getting these update error messages stating "Update available - Firefox couldn't update automatically. Download the new version". I've also tried clicking "Learn more" on the error message but it's a dead link. Going into the settings for updates I am set to auto update, but when I manually check for updates it says "Failed to check for updates".

The help article on this issue simply tells you to download and manually reinstall Firefox, but I'm having to do this nearly every day. I work in IT myself so I know a "bandaid" workaround when I see one. Is there a solution to this issue?

I downloaded Firefox for my new Mac. I see a Firefox symbol on my desktop. Clicked and moved the thing to my applications.

Can't open Firefox because I have no Icon on the desktop or in the Dock. How do I get an Icon?

All of the files I try to download fail immediately. Even extensions will not download on firefox. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and checked the download location. Downloads work on other browsers such as Chrome fine but nothing will download on Firefox.

Since the latest Firefox update a few days ago, I am not able to log into my Outlook/Webmail account; nothing happens.

I can access it on google chrome but not on Firefox.

I have been getting the "new version available, download now nag for over 2 weeks, and I have the latest version. Still get this issue repeatedly every day. Starting to become an every hour nag to update and install latest version of Firefox. Refuse to use Microsoft Edge or Chrome, and will switch off Firefox too if not rectified.

I have Windows 11 and Firefox 124.0.2. Firefox keeps asking to reinstall. I think it is because I keep getting the message that it fails to check for updates. I don't know if I have installed the Microsoft Firefox or the direct Mozilla Firefox downloaded. Maybe that is the problem, but I am not tech savvy. I have used Firefox for many years and like it. I am also too old (83) to deal with these problems. Help!

My current install of Firefox seems to be corrupted, because every time i try starting firefox, even in safe mode, it says "Could not load XPCOM". So my only option now is to reinstall, but i have some password and my search history and bookmarks and generall data to backup. So my question is how can i do this. Im on a Windows 10 22H2 Machine, and i am a pretty expirienced computer user.

Firefox browser no longer on W7 laptop. Followed instructions-downloaded setup and installer. Neither will do anything - message says no program association to implement thses files. Help!

Hello, I need help. I downloaded and installed Firefox (latest version), the icon appears in the taskbar, but when I click on it, FireFox does not launch and I always get the same error message. I uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted the PC, but I still have the same problem, even starting from firefox.exe in Windows (C:) >Programs>Mozilla Firefox. Could it be possible that Microsoft is blocking the launch of Mozilla Firefox? Thank you in advance for your help. Attached is a screenshot of the error message. While downloading XLS file from some webpage, it is converting as PDF ( File extension is changing from XLS to PDF) , Same is downloading properly in other browsers

I have followed instructions, installed the new Mozilla and, when trying to use it, I get a message to search with google or enter address. Then, I am told that the "browser has crashed . . just tell it to restart" . . . repeatedly Is it not compatible with a Lenovo laptop? Gail Whitaker

I wish to install and use the Firefox browser on my old 64bit Windows 7 laptop.

I believe the last v115 will be the last Windows 7 compatible version of Firefox, if this is correct where can I find this or the correct version of Firefox to download and install on my Windows 7 laptop?

The Firefox website only seems to provide v119 now.

I am trying to download a large file. Am on a course, and the main tutor has given the group a file to download. Have tried downloading this 5 times, but get little luck. The file that I would want to download is 8.5GB, and the furthest I get is about 4GB.

I have 2 questions about this.

1) I seem to have a very 'in and out internet connection. It seems to go down at times for no reason, cutting off the download. Is there anything I could do about this? How could I troubleshoot this, please? 2) Does anybody know of any special tools that I can use to download in a more efficient manner, please? Perhaps an extension for Firefox might be able to do this, perhaps? Kind Regards to Anyone Answering this Query, Marek

New computer (Windows 11) shows 'Old Firefox Data'. Opened hidden files. Using File Explorer found Profile Folder & renamed it 'old'. Copied and pasted 'Old Firefox Data' as new profile. Firefox would not open. Had to remove etc and Firefox worked again. Thought this maybe the easiest way to get my Bookmarks back.

PS Presume Profile Folder does not contain Thunderbird Addresses?
