I use Bitdefender and continue to get this "Critical Warnings" message. I have brought this up to Bitdefender and obviously their reply is Firefox issue. I have no idea how to get Mozella to fix their "expired" certificates.

firefox.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an expired certificate to ad.afy11.net. We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since websites must renew their certificates with a certification authority to stay current, and outdated security certificates represent a risk. So after wiping my system for a fresh windows install, I pulled out the backup.json4 and recovery.json4 from my backup drive and plopped it in place of sessionstore.json4

And all of my tabs and windows came back! So far so good!

But then after closing some tabs and moving things around, when I close the session out again, it doesn't update the sessionstore file, or any of the stuff in the backup folder to reflect those changes.

When I open firefox again it starts as a session with all my windows/tabs after the file-replace.

I use firefox for managing tutorial videos, which involves separating them into different windows/tab arrangements, so any tips on how to resolve this issue and get firefox to start updating the sessionstore would be appreciated.

Thank you!

I don't know if its an issue with the theme or Firefox itself (I think it's Firefox because it already happened on previous versions), but when I open certain number of tabs, or a tab with certain characteristics that I don't know, the whole row of tabs increases its height. And it annoys me. Thanks beforehand!

Hi all,

i'm currently developing an add-on that has an import from file feature that needs to open an "Open file" dialog, now the problem is that in order to do that i had to do the following:

  • inject some javascript code in the active page as a content script
  • call the execute command from the extension to open the dialog popup (that is actually emulating a click)

I have to do it, because from an extension when a "File open" dialog appear, the extension lose the focus and it is automatically closed, and its context destroyed, so when i actually press open on the dialog, the "caller" is already gone (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/26884140/open-import-file-in-a-chrome-extension/26917671#26917671 you can refer to my stackoverflow question to get an idea of what i was doing)

This works fine in chrome (And it worked for a while on firefox) but probably in the latest months/years (not sure when it happened) it stopped working and when i press the import button nothing happens, after some investigation i found what is the problem: the "block popup" windows option enabled by default (i suppose it is enabled by default i don't remember to have never enabled it), so when i disable it, the feature resume working. What i'm wondering is if there is a way to programmatically add an exception to the popup blocker option while installing the extension, or if there is any way to avoid closing the exception popup when the "File Open" Dialog appears.

Thanks everyone

I saw some warning regarding a certain cert of auth, and in checking that feature out, saw a bunch of sites that I never visit, and thought I'd "clean up." Now NOTHING works. I tried to undelete them, but that didn't work.

I know I could uninstall and reinstall, but I'm afraid that Firefox will recognize my account and reinstate all my settings including the unwanted changes of certificates of authority. I just want to reset Firefox to whatever default status it comes with without losing all my bookmarks and passwords - is that even possible?

I just want to vent nicely I'm using DuckDuckGo and I wish I could continue using it. But now I have concert tickets stored on my phone and this forces me to use Firefox browser. So I changed the settings to Firefox but DuckDuckGo continues to be the browser that I'm using even though when I go back and check the settings it says Firefox. So I'm going to have to delete DuckDuckGo. I'm already very unhappy that I'm being forced to use Firefox which does not seem to provide as much cover as ducked up go and ultimately back to Chrome if things continue in this convoluted complicated unhelpful manner. It just seems like technology is going backwards I understand that we're making advances but when it comes to simple tasks like going to a concert things have gotten horribly out of control My work site is practically frozen up with problems. And it's because they keep adding on instead of just simplifying and securing and battening down the hatches. They've got to stop trying to do so many different things

Several days ago, Firefox started giving me what seem to be mobile versions of some sites (mostly Google Drive and Docs) instead of the desktop layouts I want. (It's URL comes up with "mobile" even when I type in the hard way.) The problem does not affect all sites, but it does mess up several daily. I did not deliberately change my preferences or otherwise alter Firefox.

I have tried bringing Firefox up in safe mode and even removing it and downloading it again. No change.

i also "reset the default user agent on Firefox" per this post: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1304470

Help would be much appreciated. I like Firefox much better than the alternatives, but if this doesn't get fixed I will have to give up on it.

Many thanks.

I just installed the latest v90 upgrade. I get at least 5 sometimes as many as 7 instances of Firefox running simultaneously. Look at my screen shot of the Task Manager...Holy Sh*t! I attempted to downgrade back to v89, but Mozilla has made this option unbearable ...have to recreate your profile, all your passwords, cookies and bookmarks, an incredible hassle. Stuff like this just shouldn't happen.

Definitely NOT a well-thought out release.

Guess I'll be migrating to Chrome sooner than I thought!?
