Hi, i would like to set my pdf handling as follows

1. When opening a pdf link, i need the file to open in browser, don't want it to download 2. When opening from download history, i want it to open in my pdf software

I believe this was the default in old firefox(some years ago). Currently if i set it to open in browser, point 1 will work but 2 won't (i have to right click and choose "open in xx app") if i set it to always open in other app, 2 will work but 1 won't. Back then i tried some settings which downloads the file to temp folder and open from there, i don't want that (not needed the file in download history) pls let me know if there is a solution. I love Firefox and use it for more than a decade now. Problem is that filetypes .mp4 and .mp3 are automatically opened and played in Firefox. How to change that to be downloaded? In the Settings>General>Appliations the extension MP4 and MP3 do not show up...

I have to use Firefox Developer Edition in order to run an addon a custom addon that I made. The only quirk I don't like is having to see "Firefox Developer Edition" in the taskbar. I notice that it only displays this text from the home page and then changes once I a web page is in focus. How can I change the taskbar title text of the new tab/home page so that it just says "Firefox"?

This is super frustrating. How to use Firefox for development purposes? There should be an option to add exceptions. I even went to settings and added an exception manually to no avail.

I'm going often through pain to use firefox for everything but then there must be a reasonable way to achieve the goals.

Please tell me there is a way to workaround this easily without compromising security of other sites that are being visited.

P.S. I can open same site with adding an exception on chrome.

Have not had this problem before. I have several tabs open as my home pages but when I need to pay a bill, I go to the PayPal web site. It opens in German. I've tried to fix this but my settings all say set to English unless I missed one. Windows 11 MSIX 1.0 Firefox

When I open a new tab in Firefox, the weather widget shows on the top left. The location is wrong. I see that I can turn it off, but is there a way to customize the location by zip code? If not, can this be added? I use VPN most of the time, and maybe this is the reason this is wrong?

It makes me very sad that you have incorporated this "feature" into Firefox. It makes me livid that I must manually opt out of it. I can no longer recommend Firefox to others.

Hi - I unfortunately had to use Hubstaff tracking software to complete a job. It required me to give it Firefox permissions. I do not recall everything. I do remember that it required Document privelages. It seems a rather intrusive software. I have tried looking through settings to disable permissions and could not find it specifically. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The system continues to tell me that my original email address is the primary address. That address has been hacked and I need to remove it and replace it. I am then told I need to add a secondary address before I can change. I go into the area where this is done and when I press add it says that the new address is already there. How do I get rid of the hacked address and replace it with the new one (which Mozilla does actually recognize!)?

Hello. I was browsing for something on Amazon and I noticed this annoying icon in my search bar as well as a popup asking me to enable some new feature called "Review Checker". I have clicked close, and it appeared again. Then I clicked Not Now. Still I wasn't sure it's completely disabled because the icon in the search bar wasn't gone. I've done extensive search on how to properly disable this feature but I couldn't find a working solution.

Accordingly, I've set browser.shopping.experience2023, browser.shopping.experience2023.ads.enabled, and browser.shopping.experience2023.enabled to FALSE. I restarted Firefox. However, once I got to the product page on Amazon, I still see the Review Checker button in my search bar. This feels like a bug. Should I submit a bug ticket or is there a way to make it disappear for good?

In another occasions I've been shown how to change the tabs' headers' width. I now need to reduce the height of even better fix it to a specific value that won't change even if I customize the scale factor in Windows. Which is what happens atm. I increased the scale factor (recommended was 150, I used 175 for a while, now my eyes got worse and I need to constantly reach for my laptop when I use the folders explorer (where I can't change the zoom level like I can in Firefox. Or, I can but it only affects the kind of view, details, list, small icon, large icon etc. The text stays the same). And once I increased the scale factor, now the tabs headers and the address bar became super big and take too much space. If changing the height of the address bar is not possible ,at least the tabs header? I don't find anything in about:config when I look for browser.tabs

When using Firefox I click on a link/hyperlink in my emails it does not recognise the link/hyperlink how do I get it to recognise the link/hyperlink and open it in a new tab. Please N.B. Windows 10 64bit dell optiplex desktop PC hoe can i just go straight onto the pc without using my password 4 digits to sign in everyday ?it takes so long. I just want to go straight online without waiting for the picture to upload unril i can sign in etc. Thank you Gene
