As of an hour ago suddenly all of the usual suggestions and autofill with bookmarks in my address bar are wrong and out of order. I didn't close out of or update Firefox, I was just browsing online. I didn't change anything in my settings or have opened that up in days at the minimum. I cannot figure out how to either revert back or tell Firefox to not show me these choices so I can get my old ones.

I'll give an example: When I typed in "ma" it would show me mangadex.com, which I often go to. Now when I do it not only is 5th on the list it shows up and fills in "https://www.manticgames.com/", which I don't have that specific page bookmarked. I have "https://www.manticgames.com/games/kings-of-war/" bookmarked, but not that homepage. But now all of a sudden it is showing me the homepage of that site when I begin to type in "ma".

This is incredibly irritating and I have no idea why it's doing this at me out of nowhere. I don't want about anything showing up besides my bookmarks and specifically only the pages I bookmarked.

Hi, so on my office pc I work with firefox. I made an account specifically to store every bookmarks etc on that account so when my company updates something I'll always have my bookmarks. Unfortunately somehow since yesterday they all disapeared, and no I'm unable to recover them with the different methods that are foreseen on your website. please advise kr daniel

i am setting up a new laptop and trying to import all my current data from my old pc. Nothing is right. It imported alll the shortcuts on my toolbar from years ago. None of these are the current bookmarks from my old pc. ive tried syncing, importing again, nothing works. my bookmarks on my side bar are years old. I dont have ANY of these on my old pc as i deleted them years ago. what the heck is happening and how do i get my new pc browser to look exactly as my old pc looks. This is very frustrating. I have over 500 bookmarks on my sidebar. it looks like every bookmark i have EVER used. This is ridiculous.

Is it possible to import bookmarks for a different Mozilla account. Apparently I have 2 different Mozilla accounts. I had been using (I'll call it account #1) for quite a while, and recently subscribed to Mozilla VPN service. When I subscribed i gave it login info for "Account #2". How can I keep the logon info for the VPN, and get my bookmarks imported from the old (routinely used account #1) ? Or, can I change the VPN service to the old account (account #1)? I know how to add another device to the VPN account, but the "accounts" are on the same "device".

This morning, I was unable to log into Discord to watch a livestream because my hard drive was overfull and it was unable to install a mandatory update. Because this was a time sensitive issue, I wiped a bunch of crap off my drive as fast as I could, and I guess somehow I deleted my browser bookmarks because the field now shows as empty when I open Firefox. I was able to track down the backup file, but it throws an error when I tell it to restore. Is there anything I can do about this?

My computer messed up today and i had to recover it, but i didnt get to save my bookmarks. I've had a mozilla account since 5/2/2024 (i think, thats at least what it says was the date i made my password) and i've saved a lot of bookmarks i cannot lose.

i forgot what email i had made it with tho, so i created a couple of new mozilla accounts and idk if that has messed up the profiles i'm using? i read the mozilla guide on bookmarks and i have like 3 profiles under "profile:default-release" (my settings are in danish, idk if that's what its called in english). but i cant tell which one it is? furthermore, when i click on "manage bookmarks" i get to this place that says something about bookmarks saved on html or something - which i know i havent done.

oh also, before any of that, the first thing i did was synchronize my google chrome bookmarks with firefox and idk if that has messed something up?

I just got a new computer and had my info transferred. It is probably the latest version of Firefox on the new computer now. On the previous version it seems like Favorites was spelled out toward the top of the page on the left hand side. I see now it is just a star icon. Is there any way to get it the way it used to be? I'm sure I will get used to it the new way, but I still liked it the other way. Thanks

Can you recommend some kind of extension thet will only check current icons for the bookmarks? Just that. I don't need duplicate bookmarks checker, inactice checker and God knows what else checker. Just icons, that's good enough for me.

Windows 10 PC bookmarks have disappeared. Followed instructions to other profiles where momentarily saw bookmarks in a different profile, but couldn't find instructions on how to copy into default profile. Then bookmarks disappeared from that profile also. I do NOT want to sync to my other device; it has its own bookmarks. How can I retrieve my bookmarks other than syncing?!! Seems like a lot of other folks have the same problem.

After resetting my PC, I reinstalled Mozilla Firefox, but encountered an issue with it. Despite being unsure of the cause, if this problem occurs for a third time, I'm considering discontinuing the use of Firefox and advising others against it. I've lost my bookmarks multiple times, which is concerning. Although I initially attempted to recover my account using my email, I couldn't recall my password. However, even after this process, my bookmarks, which were saved in the toolbar Come back but shortcut labeled "ROW" Bookmarks are not come back. I'm seeking assistance to retrieve them or clarity regarding Mozilla's responsibility in this matter. While apologies are not necessary, I am focused on restoring my bookmarks or exploring options for compensation for the loss incurred.

How to reach a site used in the past (whether typed URL or used saved Bookmark!) ---but now Firefox won't let me access now, please?! I have some sites for decorating my online gaming site. Your settings warn me that the site isn't ---https://. --- which I realize, and FIREFOX stops me from going to the site. How do I temporarily use a site, then restore the security? I appreciate how FIREFOX keeps us safe! TY!
