Firefox 114b5 does not remember form history. I have tested two different websites.

I have form history enabled - see attached browser_settings.png. Attached is a screenshot of the moz_formhistory table in the formhistory.sqlite file.

What do I need to do to enable form history on all websites?

I've just installed Firefox Developer. I cannot get Mozilla VPN added to it. Can you help? Do I have to remove Mozilla VPN from the old Firefox installation before it will work?

Also, can I run both Firefox and Firefox Developer at the same time? I'm concerned that Profile entries an other variables might be corrupted.

Last, are there any articles or videos available to help users learn how to use FxDeveloper?

TIA

With a recent update of Firefox Developer Edition to version 117.0b9 i keep getting extremely annoying popups on all sites, asking me if I want to translate stuff.

I don't want to store unnecessary settings in my browser, related to exceptions to websites/languages that I want vs. does not want to translate.

I want to completely disable translations, globally. Forever. Two questions:

- Why there is no "disable translations globally" checkbox in the newly added popup? - Is there an about:config hack to do disable translations globally, for all languages, for all websites, and forever?

thanks in advance

Hi,

First, this is not a complaint. Firefox is an outstanding product that makes me very happy.

I though I could post the following, because this community strives to make it better.

In a nutshell, I have a very fast Internet connection, up to 6Gbs/1Gbs speed, and Firefox is not able to go over .9/.8

I attach are 2 tests, one with Firefox and one with Chrome.

Note that when using it for anything else than speedtest, Firefox does not feel slow at all.

I'm not requesting a fix, just thought that somebody would like to know.

A month ago I started to have problem with twitch. After 5minutes or 2 hours- random times or random tabs, if I have opened more than 1, which is always the case. Some tabs or all, again it's random will give twitch 2000 error and refresh, closing tab,etc nothing will work, except closing WHOLE browser, not just tabs and this is not guaranteed that it will work.

I'm losing my mind with closing whole browser-windows-tabs on different monitors and then re-opening all of that again when I get 2000 error and I always do get it.

Did like 50 re-installs, it's always the same. I tried to go back to older version, but Firefox always want to create new profile saying I have old version installed and I DO NOT want that, I want everything as it is right customized, etc right now.

Hi,

This has been brought up before, but not with this exact question (not that I could find, at least).

I understand that cookies cannot be synced across devices, but this is not what I am asking for. Is there a way to make firefox sync the list of exceptions? Meaning, only the specified website URL and its status, not the cookies from these sites.

Firefox beta release: 116.0b6 (64-bit)

On sites such as BBC.com, Youtube.com and Facebook.com I am not getting the normal cookie consent pop-up option which used to automatically show on opening the sites. Other sites are still showing the cookie consent option pop-ups. This means I cannot select if I wish to accept or reject cookies on several sites that used to allow me the option.

In checking about:config, the cookiebanners.service.mode is set to 1, which I believe this the correct setting for enabling the cookies consent pop-up option.

Is there any fix for the cookie consent pop-up not working on certain sites within the EU? I am not using a VPN or pop-up blocker. Tracking protection is set to Standard, cookies and site data are always deleted on closing Firefox and "Do Not Track” signal is set to always. Deleting all installed FF extensions has no effect either.

In other browsers on the same PC, Chrome and Edge, the cookie consent option does still work as it should on the sites mentioned. In Firefox it doesn't.

This is only happening on one PC. My latop has the same FF beta build installed and is not showing this behaviour, it still automatically shows the cookie consent pop-ups when visiting sites such as BBC.com, Youtube.com and Facebook.com.

Hello,

My name is Grey, and I'm experiencing an issue using Firefox as a browser to open my Outlook mail. For the past three days I have not been able to open any emails as a network error screen appears. Using other devices and other browsers like Edge, the emails open fine, so it is not actually a network issue. This problem only occurs using Firefox, and specifically with Outlook emails. Everything else functions fine and I have not made any changes, besides the regular Firefox update. My computer is also up to date.

What can I do about this issue? I appreciate the advice,

grey

Took me a long time to nail this issue down. Recently (past 1-2 years?), Firefox has started suggesting the base website when you have bookmarks that include the base domain - and it's really bothersome from a UX perspective. E.g. if i have "adobe.com/express" or any other adobe bookmarks, the FIRST autocompleted url Firefox gives me is "adobe.com" which I DO NOT have as a bookmark. In my Firefox settings I also have Shortcuts and other search suggestions disabled.

Why is Firefox doing this?

Firefox 119 doesn’t use system (/usr/share/fonts) or user’s (~/.local/share/fonts) fonts for rendering

I use Kubuntu 23.04 with Firefox from mozillateam/ppa apt repository, got update to FF 119 today (package 119.0+build1-0ubuntu0.23.04.1~mt1) and after the update Firefox stopped using system-wide installed fonts (either from /usr/share/fonts or from ~/.local/share/fonts).

So for example fc-list finds Gentium Plus (/usr/share/fonts), Iosevka and Junicode (~/.local/share/fonts) on my system: % fc-list -f '%{family}: %{file}\n' | rg -i 'gentium plus:' Gentium Plus: /usr/share/fonts/truetype/gentiumplus/GentiumPlus-Italic.ttf Gentium Plus: /usr/share/fonts/truetype/gentiumplus/GentiumPlus-BoldItalic.ttf Gentium Plus: /usr/share/fonts/truetype/gentiumplus/GentiumPlus-Bold.ttf Gentium Plus: /usr/share/fonts/truetype/gentiumplus/GentiumPlus-Regular.ttf % fc-list -f '%{family}: %{file}\n' | rg -i 'iosevka:' Iosevka: /home/silmeth/.local/share/fonts/iosevka/iosevka.ttc Iosevka: /home/silmeth/.local/share/fonts/iosevka/iosevka.ttc Iosevka: /home/silmeth/.local/share/fonts/iosevka/iosevka.ttc Iosevka: /home/silmeth/.local/share/fonts/iosevka/iosevka.ttc % fc-list -f '%{family}: %{file}\n' | rg -i 'junicode:' Junicode: /home/silmeth/.local/share/fonts/junicode/otf/Junicode-Bold.otf Junicode: /home/silmeth/.local/share/fonts/junicode/otf/Junicode-Regular.otf Junicode: /home/silmeth/.local/share/fonts/junicode/otf/Junicode-Italic.otf Junicode: /home/silmeth/.local/share/fonts/junicode/otf/Junicode-BoldItalic.otf

but when I try to apply the style `font-family: Gentium Plus`, `font-family: Iosevka`, or `font-family: Junicode` to an element, Firefox doesn’t use those fonts and instead in the element inspector I see Noto Serif is being used instead.

Before the update the appropriate system fonts were being chosen for rendering by Firefox.

When you open a link from the sidebar while holding ctrl, firefox opens it in a new tab and switches to it immediately; whereas when you click a link from a webpage with ctrl, it does not switch to the new tab (unless you hold shift as well, or check "When you open a link, image or media in a new tab, switch to it immediately" in settings > general > tabs). I would like if firefox does not automatically switch to opened links from the sidebar (history, bookmark, etc.), when I open them with ctrl? (I know I can hold shift to do that, but I was wondering if there might be a preference in about:config to change the reverse this behaviour for sidebars)

Thanks, Ibr.
