I have installed the Firefox Voice extension from here

When I say , for example, "What is the mariana trench" It shows results from Google, even though the default is DuckDuckGo

I would like to use DuckDuckGo.

But I can see no such option.

Please help.

I hear video playing when my browser opens, so when I put my cursor on the toolbar, i see the small video playing so when I open it, it says it is pluto tv some kind of movie app but cannot find this otherwise.it has no controls or anything just a movie playing in progress? looks interesting but do not know where to access this ?any ideas?

Help! All my language packages have been disabled while updating to Firefox 54.0: "Firefox was unable to find updates to your incompatible add-ons" and when I go to addons.mozilla.org, all language packages I need (including English! (GB)) show as "not available for Firefox 54.0". I'm a linguist so I really need them!! what shall I do? Do I have to go back to Firefox previous version?? Thanks for you help

This is clearly a Firefox problem b/c it is not an issue in other browsers. I have tried refreshing and restarting my computer. Once the arrow goes away and the hand appears, all is lost. the link is useless. This has happened several times in the last few months but this time it is happening on NPR when I try to listen to the broadcast. If I use Safari, it works fine. I have been loyal to Firefox though thick and thin but this is taking me to the point of reconsidering - too many useless links that I have to use another browser for.

About 4 or so updates to the developer edition 64-bit broke NoSquint, which you have as a recommended add-on. I use this add-on a lot and it just quit working and it seems that it also broke any other zooming add-on that have site by site prefs set. I also use the site by site color settings. I like to make certain that links are set to one color for visited and another color for those that I have not visited. Nothing I have tried can do all the NoSquint can do and I am really trying to find a way to fix it, or at least something that will actually work!!

When I upgraded to FF45, my tabs locked up and I wasn't able to move them. I refreshed it and it worked fine so I knew it was an add-on. So I went through all my add-ons and it ended up being Reminder Fox. Does anyone know a way to fix this problem? Or will I just not be able to use this add-on anymore?

I'm using "Ghostery" ver 5.4.9 tracker blocking extension with Firefox 42.0 under Mac OS 10.6.8. It no longer works. although worked with previous Firefox versions. It DOES work with Safari. I get a Ghostery message "page not scanned" and cannot fix the problem with the known Ghostery fixes. Firefox also does not display Ghostery's "options" page when I attempt to access it. Again, this used to work and still does with Safari.

Any help?

when I click tools , Options , Tabs ... there is no box to uncheck so that these stupid tabs will stop displaying. now the king header takes up 20% of my screen. That is not just an inefficient use of space, but the moronic jerk that came up with it should be F-I-R-E-D!!! the fire fox browser has lost it's appeal.

For the past six weeks I have been trying to play haf.asx (video/x-ms-asf Object) on firefox but just can't get it working. When ever I go to hymns and favorites eg it try connect then stops, the site keep trying but just won't connect. Why is this so? I have all the plugin needed.

I installed Stylish a few months ago, and it worked perfectly for a while - and then one day it just stopped. Nothing works. I checked to see if Firefox had updated - nope. I disabled and re-enabled the add-on - nope. I uninstalled and reinstalled it - nope. I installed a test script, thinking that maybe the problems were with individual scripts - nope. I went through the steps as directed here (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/982460) but that didn't work either.

While doing the last one I actually managed to fix another add-on that hadn't worked properly on this computer's Firefox - I have another computer that it worked perfectly on, and I think this computer's files for it were corrupted. I cleared out all that add-on's files on this computer and transferred the other computer's files for the add-on over, and now it works perfectly. However, when I tried this for Stylish (which also works perfectly on the other computer) it didn't work.

tl;dr: there's something wrong with this computer's Firefox and/or its files for the Stylish add-on, and I'd like to get whatever it is fixed.

Prior to manually updating extensions the "Show Release Notes" option fails with an error message. I always like to know what changes are going to be implemented before updating.

This has been occurring on every update of every extension for the last few months under FF28. FF29 has not fixed it.

I am using firefox portable 16.0.2 as i am at work and do not have admin privileges. When i open You tube, firefox asks me to update adobe flash player. Flash player is installed and i can see videos using Chrome and IE. It was working fine a few days ago. I am guessing that adobe came up with some newer version and firefox wants me to update. I understand they do this cos they think the older version may have security risks etc. But i cannot update it (cannot ask the admin, they never agree). Is there a solution to this.

I restarted my computer this morning, as it was running a bit slugglish. The restart initiated both a Firefox update and a Flash update to the latest versions. I've uninstalled Flash several times with the Flash uninstaller. I've even down-graded to 10.3. Same result. Firefox simply isn't recognizing the install and I'm unable to view any Flash content. On any page that requires it, the 'Install Missing Plugin' button appears. Whether it's 10.3 or the latest 11.4, it doesn't exist in the Add-ons manager. I've installed the latest real Player as well, in case it had something to do with the issue. No apparent connection. No issues with the installations themselves have been experienced - everything proceeds as expected.

Any ideas?

I followed most of the suggestions and removed blekko (got it from AdAware, I think) from most of FF. It still shows up as the default search for a new tab. How do I get rid of this last bit of it?
