Every time I open a new tab, another extra tab opens automatically with the following address: https://0.0.0.1/

showing this message: An error occurred during a connection to 0.0.0.1.

I already re-installed Firefox but this bug keems popping up.

BTW: I did not do a d*** thing. It just started yesterday and is extremely annoying!

My default search engine was Norton Safe Search but now it does not appear as one of the options to choose. I cannot remember all of them. Bing and Google are two of them but not Norton Safe Search although I have been able to add it to the toolbar. Why is it no longer one of the options?

Whenever I change my VPN (not Mozilla VPN) status, Firefox will refuse to connect for something like 30 seconds then times out, leaving me with a blank screen. I have wait until that interval has passed before I can retry, otherwise it will repeat the freeze. This happens whenever I turn my VPN on/off or switch to a different VPN server. It happens only with Firefox. Chrome and my email client have no problems whatsoever. I think it's some kind of DNS caching problem within Firefox as the problem doesn't happen if I visit a site that I hadn't visited very recently. There's immediate response if I do that. I have DNS over HTTPS and secure DNS turned off in the settings, so it can't be those.

Anyone else have this problem? I wish there was some way to clear Firefox's DNS cache other than having to go into about:networking

I have a dark themed website with light colored lable that is positioned inside the input field and having the autofill to autocolor the input's background yellow makes things look horrendous. I've tried the following CSS:

On top of that, I tried changing that for myself in about:config changing ui.-moz-autofill-background to false, but after clearing browser cache and doing a hard-refresh, the yellow autofill background color persists.

That would be a personal fix, but I would rather firefox not murder the theme of my site for others and let me have control of what color the autofill background color should be (if I even want there to be a difference in colors). Am I missing something? I don't simply want to turn that off for myself (although I still want to, but it didn't work). I want to change it for everyone visiting my site. (Like I'm able to change the colors of link or border colors or background colors of other elements).

I've tried almost EVERYTHING offered to enable restore the "open previous windows and tabs" function ... to no avail. Very frustrating since I usually leave important tabs open for work. HELP!

for more than 5-7 months its been unusable. it completely freeze. I recently reported this to open ai devs and they tried to do something. Now page responds is in 20-60 seconds range.

means, I open website, i wait 20-60 seconds to load. I ask chat gpt something, i wait 20-60 to actually type my messsage (for my message to be printed after I hit enter). then i refresh page (because nothing moves), wait 20-60 secs to load page and I see the reply.

and yes, each time I was always trying to do with latest version of browser. and I also tried it on a new browser without any extension.

the reason I didn't reported this last year, was because I got extremely disappointed and unhappy.

I have been getting the "new version available, download now nag for over 2 weeks, and I have the latest version. Still get this issue repeatedly every day. Starting to become an every hour nag to update and install latest version of Firefox. Refuse to use Microsoft Edge or Chrome, and will switch off Firefox too if not rectified.

All of the files I try to download fail immediately. Even extensions will not download on firefox. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and checked the download location. Downloads work on other browsers such as Chrome fine but nothing will download on Firefox.

I have Startparge set as my default search engine. I used to type directly into the address bar (see first image).

Press Enter, and the Startpage results page for this search phrase would show up. Somehow, this has now changed. I press Enter, but the result is just the Startpage home page, with a blank search box (see second image). So I then have to type the same phrase in again in Startpage's own box. This just trips me up.

The crazy thing is that this only happens sometimes - but more often than not. I haven't seen it work right for weeks: I just did it now to make screenshots, and it worked wrong. I just did it again and it worked as expected: pressing Enter took me to Startpage's results.

Any clues how to change settings to fix this?

Hello, In old versions of Firefox picture-in-picture mode was "always on top" by default, now "always on top" mus to be enabled every time I pop-out every video. Is there any solution to make picture-in-picture mode "always on top" by default?

I have Windows 11 and Firefox 124.0.2. Firefox keeps asking to reinstall. I think it is because I keep getting the message that it fails to check for updates. I don't know if I have installed the Microsoft Firefox or the direct Mozilla Firefox downloaded. Maybe that is the problem, but I am not tech savvy. I have used Firefox for many years and like it. I am also too old (83) to deal with these problems. Help!

I did an hardreset to my computer yesterday, today I logged in to my FireFox account and now all of my stuff (History, Passwords, Bookmarks) are from 2020. I don't have any backup, what do I do?

You somehow have old, outdated information in your system. Your new browser requires me to log into a facebook account I closed 10 years ago. My password for my current account named, "VangiePangie", now opens a closed account named "Evangeline Custis". I no longer have access to my VangiePangie account with any password. So, I no longer want this new upgraded Firefox account. I want to have my old Firefox account as a default on my desktop. Right now it's an icon at the bottom of the screen, and I can only use it to open one thing at a time. Please give me back my old Firefox browser. I'll struggle with Facebook to get my password to work on my VangiePangie account. I have access to the VangiePangie account right now, because it was never logged out in my old Firefox browser and is in my Bookmarks. This is so very simple and so the fact that it seems impossible to get a straight answer makes me instantly suspicious. Here is the question: What is my location? Simple! In other words, I have Mozilla Firefox installed on a physical device, which HAPPENS to be a desktop computer, not a mobile phone, etc. In other words, it stays here. So why do alllllll the sites act as though I am literally 930 miles...from my actual, physical location! I have NO VPN running...none. Unfortunately, Firefox is using Google location services, WHICH IS THE PROBLEM. I just installed Firefox, instead of Chrome, to solve that problem. I guess THAT was a stupid move, Firefox is worse!

There needs to be a manner in which the USER can INPUT THEIR LOCATION. I'm not trying to "trick" anyone...I'm actually trying to give people ACCURATE INFORMATION which apparently is beyond the capabilities of the internet, to provide.
