I have the HTTP_PROXY, HTTPS_PROXY and FTP_PROXY (and their lowercase counterparts) exported and then the firefox binary is started from the shell script. The settings in firefox say it will 'Use system proxy settings'. Nevertheless I do not see the proxy being used as I can not access the web pages that need the proxy. The 'about:config' also does not show that firefox picked up any proxy related information from the shell environment.

I know the proxy address is correct because if I use brave browser instead of firefox (same shell script that launches brave) I can reach the web pages behind the proxy as expected.

Hello, sometimes firefox seems like it is working fine, other times certain sites like youtube, duckduckgo and spotify will not load, while others will.

I've gone through and done everything the help articles suggest, nothing happens - then a few days later everything's fine. It's gone on like this for a few months. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks -alex

Greetings Firefox enthusiasts and Intel Evo laptop users,

As technology continues to evolve, so too does the collaboration between software and hardware to provide users with a seamless and optimized experience. Today, I'd like to delve into the intriguing partnership between Firefox and Intel Evo technology, specifically focusing on how this collaboration ensures smooth integration, compatibility, and enhances both performance and security features.

Here are some key points to consider as we explore this topic:

Performance Optimization: How does Firefox leverage Intel Evo technology to optimize browsing performance on laptops? Are there specific features or optimizations that take advantage of Intel Evo's hardware capabilities to deliver faster page load times, smoother scrolling, and improved responsiveness?

Battery Efficiency: Intel Evo laptops are known for their energy efficiency and extended battery life. How does Firefox collaborate with Intel Evo technology to ensure that browsing sessions are energy-efficient, minimizing battery drain and maximizing uptime?

Security Features: Security is a top priority for both Firefox and Intel Evo laptops. How do they work together to ensure that users are protected against threats such as malware, phishing, and data breaches? Are there any specific security features or enhancements that result from this collaboration?

Compatibility Assurance: With the diverse range of hardware configurations available in Intel Evo laptops, ensuring compatibility with Firefox is crucial. How does Firefox collaborate with Intel to perform rigorous testing and validation to guarantee that the browser runs smoothly on Intel Evo devices?

I encourage fellow members of the community to share their insights, experiences, and opinions on how Firefox and Intel Evo technology come together to deliver a superior browsing experience. Let's delve into this collaboration and uncover the synergies that benefit users in terms of both performance and security.

Looking forward to an engaging discussion!

Can someone please tell me how to answer questions asked, in emails to me, receoved from support helpers. In ~6 emails received so far, my only response option looks like clicking the "Mark It as Solved" button...I can't see how to answer, for example, that I'm using Debian Buster, with KDE. Also, jonzn4SUSE asked me to "see screenshot" of his SUSE distribution, but I can't see that image, nor a file attachment. Thanks again.

In regular web pages, I'm able to hover over an URL / picture w/ URL behind it, etc.... It shows up on the status bar at the bottom of the page (that's what it used to be called). Sometimes I can't.

Somewhere around the same time as I started noticing this, I had just upgraded to a Win11 computer. So, when I try to hover over a suspicious link, I get nothing!

Is there code these people can put in that shields them from hover? So, we can't see what we're getting into? If so, then I presume if I can't hover, don't click... Right?

TIA

As of a few days ago my login to my bank's website is not working. I can login, but the main page which should display accounts, etc. only displays the top half of the site, but not the lower half that should display the account information. I tried chrome, and that works fine. But I was wondering why FireFox is not displaying the website. I've been in contact with my bank and their I.T. department. And they claim there have been no changes or glitches, and their website should work with all majore browsers, including F.F. I do have a password manager, but I disabled that for the bank website. I've cleared cache numerous times. Rebooted, etc. I know there was a Microsoft Windows update a few days ago. In fact they sent 2 updates almost back to back. Which is unusual. I understand there have been cyber attacks recently. Don't know if that's related. Any ideas on how to get F.F. working on my bank's website? Thanks

hello! hope you are doing well, I recently got this problem where the bookmark bar does not appear on my browser even though it is on the "always show" option, it appears when I first open the browser, but once I enter any site, it disappears again, even on new tabs, and when I try different options for the BM, it makes it appear for one use only. I tried looking for solutions on the internet but to no avail. can you help me fix it? thank you in advance!

I am a single user of Firefox 123.0 (64 bit) on a Windows 11 desktop, Win 11 laptop, and Android phone. If I use Profile Manager to delete both of the the Profiles from my desktop ("default" and "default-release"), will that have any effect on my laptop or phone? Specifically, will I lose my passwords and bookmarks on all devices, or just the desktop?

Also, can I delete one of my two profiles? If so, which one? When I navigate to Users\Bill\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles, I see four folders:

 lamrm8zp.default-release, 2/26/2024
 gqrogfwy.default, 2/24/2024
 06m8lkgu.default-release, 9/21/2023
