Hello,

Every time I close and reopen Firefox, the new tab and downloads buttons relocate to the far left of the tabs bar. This can be fixed temporarily by customizing the toolbar but the icons move back when Firefox is closed and reloaded.

Prior to this issue, I had installed a custom theme by Mozilla and have since removed it, but this hasn't fixed the issue.

Additionally, I was watching a YouTube video in full screen mode and, when I left full screen mode, all of my bookmarks, the home button, the new tab, downloads, and nearly every other button in the area were gone. I was able to fix this by customizing the toolbar, but ever since then, the new tab and downloads buttons have migrated. The video I was watching was fairly long so I'm not sure what caused the mass exodus of buttons or exactly when it happened.

Is there anyway to make the buttons stay put?

I've been having some issues with Mozilla lately. I don't know if my CPU is in bad condition or not but, when I change tabs through my Windows, say changing tabs from Mozilla to Spotify and changing it back to Mozilla, my CPU gets very full, causing my cursor to lag, and Mozilla to be unresponsive for a couple of seconds first and it gets kinda worse as I continue to use my PC, causing the lag to occur for over 10 seconds.

I have seen some similar complaints on the web but they date back to 2014ish times.

What do you think? Is it somewhat my CPU's problem or did Mozilla's handling get worse over a patch or something?

I enjoy Mozilla and don't want to quit using it. Any help would be much appreciated.

I am encountering an issue with the Ultimate Addon Image Gallery when viewed in the Mozilla browser. On the user's first visit to the page, the image gallery fails to load promptly, often taking a long time to display. During this delay, a black screen appears instead of the intended images, and the images do not retain their original sizes.

I do not know what exactly causes Firefox (on Windows 11 anyway) to block the copy and paste functions, but i found the easiest fix possible :-) Firstly, for me it never grayed out the copy option on right mouse click, so it seemed like copy is possible - just that it did not copy anything at all! The CTRL / C also did not copy anything - but in MS Edge everything worked just fine.

I had cleared out the browser cache in FF - did not change anything (but maybe i should have closed FF and reopened it anew and things would have worked again - instead i got frustrated and used CCleaner to clean out the online trash in all browsers etc. But CCleaner also had a hickup due to some nag popup for their paid version, so i turned off the laptop and restarted it anew, then CCleaner ran normally, cleaned up all www garb.

Now i opened FF - and guess what, copy and paste worked just fine again.

Go figure what the cause was / is, but a www trash clean pc seems to solve it, that's at least something.

Like most people, the only reason I stick with this browser is for the ability to set it the way I want. Accepted the "upgrade" to 133 and it screwed my settings. Downgrading did not help. So fed up with this [redacted].

How do I stop it from appearing please? It's the address bar.. field. I don't know what to call it, english is not my native language. I just want it to remain small and static like it always did. Now it becomes a huge field that takes up too much space and blocks my vision and I just want it to disappear.

I wish Firefox would stop changing stuff like this.

My facebook account keeps getting double logins and ip4 logins rather than ip6 addresses. I think my ex-employer has installed a certificate into firefox on my laptop. I know absolutely nothing about certificates and have never knowingly installed one into my firefox web browser. But after looking I seem to have a certificate, is this certificate something that is allowing someone else access to what I view on my browser or allowing access to my cookies? Would users normally have their own firefox user certificate installed that they are unable to remove with a year on the date? I have added 2 screenshots. Hi All, Apologies if I've missed something, but I can't find an answer anywhere. I've got a fresh install of Firefox version 133 running on Windows 10, and I can't seem to install any add-ons. When I click the install button from the add-on's page, it just sits there with the loading animation and seemingly does nothing for several minutes. Attempting to right-click on the download button, "save link as", and hitting "install add-on from file" using that saved link as another user suggested from a similar problem does nothing at all; there's no feedback whatsoever. The add-on I've been trying to install is U-Block Origin, but I've tried this with other add-ons to the same results. The only other thing I've tried is installing one of the recommended add-ons from the add-on page directly, Privacy Badger specifically. This causes an actual window to pop up telling me Firefox is verifying the add-on, but nothing happens past this point. It just sits there, eternally attempting to verify the add-on with no progress ever made, and no error message ever spitting out. I haven't found anyone else with this exact problem. Hopefully I'm missing something obvious and I can feel really silly about the whole thing soon. Thanks much!

Hello guys, as in title - I use custom NextDNS set of rules on DNS-over-HTTPS. As of today, Firefox can't connect to the provider. AFAIK Troubleshoot Mode is also affected. The other devices using NextDNS on my network work just fine and when I set the DNS to work system-wide as a kind of workaround, I don't get an issue. Same when I use other DNS-over-HTTPS options in the Firefox Preferences. Yesterday the problem didn't occur and I haven't performed any updates since yesterday - both Firefox and NetworkManager seem to be up to date.

Additional info: OS: EndeavourOS (Arch Linux) Firefox version: 129.0.2

Firefox releases email addresses and our data to third parties!

I installed the Arc browser and Arc offered to load my bookmarks from mozilla. Out of curiosity, I let it, and it loaded my bookmarks and folders smoothly. Arc didn't navigate Firefox to the login page, so Firefox released my information without asking me.

What probably happened in the background was that the Arc browser told Firefox which email address it was requesting data from, and Firefox handed over the data to it "on notice". Firefox was not even convinced that the real owner of the email address asked the Arc browser to synchronize the folders.

Is it the famous Firefox reliability?

I'm on OS Windows 11 and the latest version of FF (133). I also use NordVPN; I can access the web via Edge and Chrome with VPN, but for the last month, it doesn't work with FF. What could be the problem?

I am trying to use Firefox secure passwords. I can create a secure password, update it when asked, but it doesn't autofill the password when I try to log in. I have the "Autofill User Name and Passwords" box checked in Firefox Preferences. I am on a MacBook Air using Firefox.

I accidentally disabled the keyboard shortcut for media browsing. For example, I was able to fast forward by 10 seconds by tapping the right arrow on my keyboard, but this has now been disabled. I cannot figure out how to get back to settings to re-enable this feature (checked online, in Mozilla support pages and on Mozilla community)

I think I tapped Ctrl + left arrow to bring up the settings box when I accidentally disabled the keyboard shortcut. Any help would be appreciated

Bonsoir, Avant, j'arrivais sans problème à mettre une fenêtre qui s'ouvre quand je clique sur un résultat sur le site Flashscore au milieu de la page (comme dans l'exemple en pièce jointe) mais maintenant, cette fenêtre s'ouvre tout le temps à gauche de l'écran. Avant, il suffisait de faire "Alt+F4" ou "Ctrl+Maj+Q" pour que cette fenêtre reste bien à l'endroit souhaité à chaque ouverture. I'm totally desperate: all the bookmarks (which I deleted about 5 years ago) have been restored since I started to use my old laptop again, which I hadn't used in years - what can I do? I'm talking about hundreds of bookmarks which would take me days to check and delete - this was already an issue years ago but didn't occur for quite some time, but today it has reappeared. Please help to fix this right now, and also for this issue to not occur again - there has to be an option to define one computer as the main one with which all other secondary computers should be synced, and not the other way around...?

The extension developers claim that the issue is with Firefox and deny no fault whatsoever.

I have been using Firefox for my browser and have an account. Yesterday I clicked on the Firefox icon on my taskbar and it just opened with a blank screen. I need all of the information stored on my Firefox account. WHAT HAPPENED?? IT WILL NOT OPEN TO FIREFOX!!
